The biggest checkpoint on the way to Cheltenham is here.
Entries filling up, handicap prices should start to filter through this week.
An early scout through the cards and it looks like the Irish Champion Hurdle could cut up significantly, give State Man a penalty kick and leave some EW value in behind him.
At the head of the market - BDA is probably going straight to Cheltenham, Lossiemouth to Cheltenham to take on Con Hill, Anzadam to the Limestone Lad, Dysart Enos to the handicap, Fils d'Oudairies to Cheltenham or the Limestone Lad and Kargese an unlikely runner so soon after the weekend.
This leaves State Man at the head of the market at 5/4 and the probable runners in behind as Winter Fog, Colonel Mustard, Daddy Long Legs, King of Kingsfield and possibly but probably not Senecia.
Most bookies have gone 2 places but MGM remain 3 places with Winter Fog priced at 28/1 and the rest longer to fill up the places and potentially a win if State Man has completely lost it, even if Lossiemouth diverts from Cheltenham back here there's still a big priced place to pick up.
Senecia is an interesting horse - entered in the Champion Hurdle and Champion Chase at Cheltenham as well as the Irish Champion Hurdle, Gold Cup and Dublin Chase - last seen at Navan finishing 1.25 lengths behind Found a Fifty and Solness in a 2 mile Grade 2 chase at Navan and 28l ahead of a certain Banbridge in his seasonal pipe opener.
