  • ASCOT - FRIDAY 24th NOVEMBER

    Ascot
Going: Good to soft-soft in places
    Surface: Turf
Just had a little flick through. IntoTheWaterside (13:25) and Jet Powered (14:35) are the two obvious eye catchers for me. Anybody have opinion on anything else?

    Is anybody else going??!

I'm part owner of The Carpenter entered in the 12:50. If he's as good as we all hope he is, then he should be winning that – with the caveat that his ideal distance is closer to three miles.

Why isn't he in the 15:10 then? Same class but longer... Either way. Looks good. 111 form so I imagine he will be a strong fave when the odds appear.

I think Nicky is keen to exploit the handicap mark before hopefully kicking on into graded company.

Looking forward to it. Anyone been before and know what the Queen Anne Enclosure is like? Are you able to access the parade ring? Cheers

Great thanks BigChaang. Not that I could really tell you what I’m looking at much but find going to the parade ring an enjoyable part of a day at the races

It's a bit of a trek , but you can also walk along to the Pre Parade Area too , if you are really keen . .

Got to be happy with a 4 horse race Sprinter Sacre. Break the arm off of 6/5.

                    Yep!

Here's part of the preview from Owners Group I just received: "He should enjoy the cut in the ground on Friday. He will probably want further than this 2m3f distance in time, but Nicky does not like stretching novice chasers' stamina at this stage of their careers. We hope he takes to the larger obstacles and will be hard to beat. We consider a value price to be 7/4."

Timeform also like his chances and currently only priced on William Hill at 13/8...

We then Bumped into them again at the Coffee Van , and had a little Chat , He said when he's Good He's Very Good ! ,
and when he's bad ... .... I asked him about Twig , for the Coral Gold cup at Newbury next saturday .
He say's if it stay's dry , not too much Rain , he would have a squeak ., didn't enjoy the ground at Cheltenham.
