Thinking about backing JDB tomorrow. The trip is basically the only angle I have. Plus having doubts about all Mullins other runners in the race. Would only be a small interest of course.

Like the look of Classic Getaway myself. Yes coming back from a break but very taking chasing debut, so if fit and firing think he’s the play.

Sir G and Appreciate It raced only 2 weeks ago and neither have looked great thus far imo. Journey With Me just looks below Grade 1 material, think CG has more potential than any of the others to make into a top class Grade 1 chaser.

Aye, who am I to question Willie but surprised he ran Appreciate It, Sir G and JDB at Fairyhouse. Hoping JDB ran so poorly that he didn't take much out of himself though. Appreciate It has started going left which has to be a concern here. And Sir G is a questionable jumper and doesn't seem to want 3 miles.

CG I thought might want softer ground, although it looks softer than it did yesterday. And just lacks chasing experience and hurdle class to put me off a bit. Can see why you'd like him as the potential though, chase debut was good. And I prefer him to the others at similar prices.

Agree with JWM as well. Suspect he's below top class.

Rest of the card is a real struggle for me. Was considering The Model Kingdom or Shecouldbeanything in the Mares race. But they're still so keen on Night and Day (who I can't back after pulling up last time) that I'll probably just swerve that race all together. Or reverse forecast the first two named for some interest.

          GL anyone having a bet

I've gone for a very small ew play on Il Etait Tempts, Classic Getaway, and Gentleman De Mee. All two places, but only six runners in each so no harm there.

Il Etait Temps made two shuddering errors in the Supreme and Danny tried to make up for them too quickly rather than nursing him back into the race. I think the DRF form is probably about right and FV is a few lbs better, but at 5/1, I'm happy to risk it. I think Diverge's performance in the Supreme might be being overplayed. He was ridden for a place - which to be fair is exactly what Patrick said he would do beforehand - and didn't get involved in the battle upfront. If he's put into the race this time, it could be a different outcome. I'd love Found A Fifty to go well, but that Aintree run was diabolical.

Classic Getaway for reasons highlighted by others. It is a tricky race though and although Sir Gerhard and Appreciate It haven't lived up to expectation, they have consistently run to an average level and that might be enough here. In fact, Sir Gerhard did seem to warm to the task last time out and would be my pick of the big two at least. JWM is a horse who is below top level but is fresh and now tends to run consistently so might well be the one to beat.

Gentleman De Mee is one I am taking a risk on. I am chancing that rather than him being a good ground horse, he is a spring horse. A bit like Sire Du Berlais. Will also come in fresh having missed Cheltenham and Aintree. His injury is meant to have been a minor niggle rather than anything worse. Obviously will be a mammoth task to get the better of Energumene.

Was thinking of just swerving today as I can't see an accurate angle on the racing but GDM after a break is really calling to me

                Backed 2 today

The model kingdom has a great record at punchestown and excusing his last run has good form this year especially his run in behind Impaire et passe

classic getaway coming here and facing horses who I really think don’t want 3 miles aswell as them also having tough races recently at Cheltenham and fairyhouse especially.

                both small plays

Can only go downhill for me from a forecast in the first

Facile Vega looked pretty good there. Nice to see.

Merlin Giant gone on some drift.

Would have liked to see a rematch with Marine there but he did that nicely especially with that big mistake 2 out i think it was

                            Lol.

Did we hear anything from Willie? I had Racing TV extra on in the background, but there's no sound for some reason. Paul's interview didn't say much.

straight over a fence, didn’t give much in term of distance, name checked 2 miles, 2 and a half and 3 . Although it did sound like he’ll keep him to two miles unless he’s beat

                                Chasing next for him

Could really go any trip, big stride on him and he'll respect a fence more

He did at the end say, if he can do it at 2, then why move away from that, easier to keep a 2m chaser sound and all that stuff..
