Cards look fantastic already. Where do you even start

Good to see the UK trainers having some entered. BMG has an entry but surely wont be running again anytime soon??

The handicap chase on Wednesday looks very interesting, Willie has a good few entered. James Du Berlais at 2m5f off 11.04 could be interesting on this track if he doesn't take up the grade 1 entries.

Monkfish in the stayers hurdle would be exciting if he shows up

Bumpers look absolutely jam packed of nice types...on paper

There are going to be some brutal field sizes, particularly in the Open G1's considering Gordon has sent almost all of his main guns to Aintree bar Teahupoo. If you strike out those who have run at Fairyhouse or Aintree, or who have other engagements.

Obviously those from Fairyhouse have a chance of following up, but you'd think anything at Aintree has no chance at all.

        Open Company

Gold Cup - Galopin, Envoi, Hewick and Indo.

Champion Hurdle - State Man, Vauban, Pied Piper

Champion Chase - Energumene, Blue Lord, Genteman de Mee, Captain Guinness

Stayers - Teahupoo, Klassical Dream, Ashdale Bob, Monkfish, Asterion Forlonge, Salvador Ziggy, Summerville Boy, Whatdeawant

Mares - Love Envoi, Brandy Love, Echoes in Rain, Queens Brook, Shewearsitwell, Theatre Glory

        Novices

2m Novice Chase - El Fabiolo, Dysart Dynamo, Indiana Jones

3m Novice Chase - Journey With Me, Ramillies, Life in the Park, Mahler Mission, Classic Getaway, Feronily

2m Novice Hurdle - Marine Nationale, Facile Vega, Diverge, Il Etait Temps, Arctic Bresil

2m4 Novice Hurdle - Impaire at Passe, Gaelic Warrior, Champ Kiely High Definition

3m Novice Hurdle - Affordale Fury, Sandor Clegane, Three Card Brag, Embassy Gardens, Favori de Champdou, Shanablly Kid, Seabank Bistro, Kalanisi Star

4yo - Lossiemouth. Gala Marceau, Gust of Wind, Cinsa, Zarak the Brave, Tekao

Odds on Willie winning every G1?

Some horrendously small fields and huge odds on shots does look to be the order of the week.

With the usual 25 bumpers of course.

3m novice hurdle could be interesting enough at least.

The Mares Hurdle again looks more competitive than most races, which won't please some.

Yeah between the massive odds ons, impossible handicaps and 100 bumpers looks more of a watching brief than betting week

Exactly this. The Punchestown handicaps are about as far away from my comfort zone as it gets. Unlikely to have many punts there at all.

For the best if I don't get drawn into the roll up conversation again

Klassical Dream a standout 11/2 for the stayers at Punchestown - Willie seems keen in the punchestown preview and the race could well cut up. 3x winner at the track and a 2x winner of the race.

Facile Vega goes for the 2m so Impaire sticks to the 2 and half. The first signs that Impaire could head chasing next season? If willie was thinking champ hdle for him next season he'd surely want to test him against IET, Diverge and co. ?

Trained by anyone else and he'd be given a run over 2 mile here surely. See where he's at and then still has the option of going chasing if he's not the best of the 2 mile novice hurdlers.

The Grade 1s are as Mullins dominated as expected though.

3 mile novice chase looks quite interesting. Jockey bookings from Mullins also interesting, although maybe just consistent with last runs. Still, I can't really see a bet to be honest.

GDM each way if the ground remains decent is about as close as I've got to a Tuesday bet. Although Mark Walsh back in place of Danny Mullins is putting me off that a bit as well.

What is the forecast ground? Thinking about Energumene on Tuesday.

Don't think it will be as soft as everyone thinks Energumene needs. Currently yielding, so broadly good to soft and not much rain around for the week. I think they'll need to water at some point.
