Either that or Cheltenham itself takes more out of him than they thought, maybe with the travelling as well?

It's Punchestown baby. Just back Cheltenham flops and Willie's second string blind

Best of luck for the 2nd leg!

Heavy ground over 2 mile 4 wouldnt have helped to be fair, but still not the best of looks that his only losses have came here

Fully agree, but I guess both are reasons you could write off his performances at Punchestown if you wanted to (with regards to his chances in any race at Cheltenham next year, where he's 2-2)

He ran exactly like he did at punchestown last year

                  Flat as a pancake

He's run no sort of race again

I agree - he didn't look good - but was he one paced because he needs further or because he ran flat? Next race will tell us more in either direction

If he goes chasing now, I think 10s for the arkle / 8s for the turners looks quite attractive personally if you write off that run there

                        DD and SG very disappointing.

I think they'll school SG and see how he fences. He is 7 years old though and probably won't have as much improvement in him compared to Jonbon, El Fabiolo etc so wouldn't be one I'd want to invest in this early.

                        DD ran a shocker.

I think what we say today was a horse who simply doesn't quicken like a top class 2 miler. Even when he won the Ballymore the expected top class turn of foot never really materialized....I maintain he'll end up a staying chaser 2m5f plus.

Dysart Dynamo obviously all wrong and if they can get him back on track I'd be happy to risk a few quid at big odds on him winning next years Arkle. That cerainly wasn't him today.

If Willie has a Champion Hurdle contender I maintain it's Vauban either of these two..

SG definitely a Stayer. Chasing beckons and Turner's or RSA

The course and 2 miles is simply too sharp for him. He's a Stayer.
