Thoughts on Braeside for the Grand National? Gordon stated that he'd thought about Mount Ida for Aintree but suggested the Mares Chase may be her target now after that win at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day.

Braeside & Mount Ida are same connections and that Leopardstown handicap at Christmas looked a fairly solid race. Would assume the mammoth trip will suit Braeside but a tad concerned about spring ground for him...

Just scanning through them without much thought two that stood out were Farclas who was only a 7-y-o last year and the redoubtable Snow Leopardess who is proven over the fences. Both greys so easier to follow through the race. A lot will depend on going, riding plans and who actually runs of course.
