Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

For the others in my stable:
Orbys River will go chasing subject to schooling. May go to Bangor next week.
Mountain Lake had a busy spring/summer for a 4yo and developed the annoying habit of coming into season when due to run. On a break.

    Old favourites:
Captain Kangaroo was being prepared for Galway when he had a hemothorax, a sort of internal bleeding. He recovered but it was cause unknown so, not wanting to risk a repeat, we have found him a good home as a hack.
Coningbeg was retired as a broodmare last year. She absorbed last year's foal but we persevered and she is currently in foal to Dartmouth, due towards the end of next March.
    Apologies for aftertiming but....bingo!

      • 22/1 winner would've been nice

        Well done though.

        • I never back my own runners and am never confident enough to tip them up.

Looking back, I suppose the fact that Sam wanted to go all that way was a good sign. Kudos and a bonus for his wife, Vicki, who drove the box 6 hours each way.

We're waiting to see what the handicapper does but we might opt to run with a penalty if she's ready to roll again.

            • Orbys River goes again at Rasen this afternoon. She was hiked 10lb for the win so we're running with a 7lb penalty today. She seems ok after the Ayr efforts but the ocean of 0-100 novice handicaps is full of sharks and it's a competitive enough race.

Ran a super race never nearer than at the finish. More to come by the looks of it.

The track and ground were probably a bit quick for her but she was clear second best to a well handicapped horse. A short break and then back for more towards the end of February.

                  • A summary for NH season 24/25.

                    Rehill Relic - Form 0534721 - 7 runs, 1 win - Prize-money £7498.
Started the season rated 100, low point 94, finished at 100.
Probably a little immature and prone to ulcers but concentration helped by cheek-pieces and a deserved victory to end the season. Will go chasing next season.

                    Orbys River - Form 6p12715 - 7 runs, 2 wins - Prize-money £12441.
Started the season rated 75, low point 74, finished at 88.
Fences, and a dietary change, made all the difference. We are learning what conditions she needs and will have a more ordered campaign next season.

Anyone who has had ownership interest will know how competitive it is in the 0-100 division so 3 wins and nearly £20k in prize-money represents a decent return.

Of the others, Mountain Lake picked up an injury and has gone to a good home.

Coningbeg recently had her filly foal by Dartmouth.. Just 2 weeks old but so far showing all the right signs so fingers crossed for the next few months.

Kemboy is thriving in his retraining. He made guest appearances in the RoR parades at Cheltenham and Aintree and recently had a day out at Carlisle races in the same role.
