    • Good luck today BOF, hope he goes well! And a very entertaining read as always!

      • Wouldn't have won regardless but may have placed without a jockey determined to present him to each fence at 100mph.

        • Thanks for everyone's support- much appreciated. Obviously a little disappointing today. He just seemed to be labouring the whole way around; maybe it was the ground, maybe something else. He is better than that but there is no obvious next race. I would like to try him on better ground but that's tough to find at this time of year. Hoping for a bit of a dryer spell.

Good to have him home safe and sound! Leopardstown at Xmas, you'll get your better ground then hopefully! Nice to have a horse all the forum can feel a part of in some small way

It comes into the category of a fact finding mission to see if he takes to the fences. He's still a novice over fences and it's taken time to get his act together but Willie doesn't tilt at windmills so he must see something.

In terms of the double bet, he'd need to go up half a stone or more to get a run in April so I'd say that 175/1 is, as with most of these bets, pretty skinny and just a bookies' benefit.

Finished 3rd at 14/1, was as big as 50's at one point I think
