Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Willie is pleased with his work so he should be competitive.

Patrick said he's been working in cheekpieces since the Savills but there's no news as to whether or not he'll wear them on the day.

Captain Kangaroo is still in the 3 mile handicap. You can't help but feel that he's better than his mark of 123 but he hasn't always finished off his races. They may try a breathing aid but it could be mental rather than physical. Hopeful rather than confident.

Always a great read BOF, good luck with them both this weekend. Those pre-travel tests are a good way to get the heart rate up aren't they?

Of course, also wishing archie good luck with his this weekend. As Rufus said above, let's see them all home safely before anything else.

                  • Thanks all. Both slightly disappointing.

Captain Kangaroo has been on the go for a while and probably needs a break. Likely to go over fences next season.

Paul felt that Kemboy ran to much the same level as at Christmas but the ground went against him. He also never got in to a proper jumping rhythm which is so important to him. Aintree may be next on the agenda.

Scene of, for me, his best ever performance.
Is it a flat track thing with Kemboy archie ?

I wouldn't say so. He's won very well at Punchestown.

For me, he's best on tracks where he can get in a rhythm with his jumping. So, long straights with several fences in a line and a jockey who is happy to let him do his own thing. Ruby was the master at that and it's slightly disappointing that other jockeys haven't taken notice of his words after both Aintree and Punchestown in that hot patch of form.

                        • I'm pleased to say that Jeffery's Cross makes his debut at Ascot on Saturday, in what is usually a good novice hurdle with plenty of pointers to the future. He'll be up against novices with good experience behind them, including Walking On Air which is many people's Ballymore alternative to Dysart Dynamo or Sir Gerhard.

It's a stiff enough ask first time, and he'll benefit from the experience, plus he'll improve for the race. We'll have a think about where his sights are then set for the remainder of the season, with a mind that he was bought as a future chaser, and anything he does this season is a bonus.

All that said I'll still be hoping he wins by ten lengths!
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.
