Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

obviously cost dependent etc etc which could be tricky with 13people

oh and preferably a gold cup winner

I’m friends with the Dr Richard Newland yard... so could enquire if numbers get up
I think everyone needs to be clear from the start what they want out of a syndicate. Do you have ambitions of trying to get “a Saturday horse” or are you happy trotting around Stratford on a Tuesday? Obviously the costs will differ dramatically

Do you want to try and land a punt or is your goal just to be running in the best races you can, regardless if you win or not?

I think it’s important to be clear with the aspirations before you start (even if the never get spoken about again! #WinkEmojiWhereverItIs!)

Glynn runs today at Doncaster (14:17)
No longer a novice (after just the one run last season) and looks well treated off of 134 (if primed).
Today will tell us more!

Fingers crossed!

Disappointing from Joey on the face of it. Feedback from Paul - he was still very green in front and lost concentration at the hurdles without company. Better ground might also help but he still needed the run.

Looked to me like a step up will help as well Archie ? He looked a little one paced there to me. Give the trainer a nudge I would !

Disappointed with Glynn.
Awarded 2nd after the winner was disqualified.
Race was a slowly run affair and turned into a sprint which wouldn’t have suited.
Also been off since February.

Not devoid of promise, but more questions than answers..

Luck Of Clover goes in the 12.45 at Musselburgh. Has plenty of weight but could go close if it all goes her way.

Back posting after losing a bit of my passion. Decided to buy another horse in hopes of rekindling it; this is the story. Suprise Package runs at Thurles (weather permitting)
The blog is back and the reason is: I have a new horse to introduce to the Cheltenham Dream! Although, in this case and in the spirit of candor, this horse should probably be on the Sligo or Kilbeggan Dream site. Unfortunately, if I’m going to have two horses in training, the last thing I can afford

Good to have you back BoF, hope all is well and Boston is as safe a haven as the States can offer.
Why the despondency, was this specific to racing or a culmination of everything going on in the world.
I wish you well in your new venture.

Quick question, where did (the real) Bay of Freedom land in retirement ?

I think it was a combination of working too many hours and not having time to watch or catch up, recognizing that it would be a while before I went racing and my own frustration with myself for deciding to go to Cheltenham last year. Anyway, I have my bookie's runner set up in England now (except there's none open to run to) and I am putting aside time to keep up to date.
Boston is pretty safe although there were some scary days back in June. I am hoping the country can settle down a bit now - it has been crazy and we probably only know the half of it!
The real Bay of Freedom tried a quiet retirement and was getting a little fractious so he is being ridden out and kept in Newbridge and , by all accounts, is living a stress free existence. Really appreciate you asking.
