We think Jeff will run a decent race tomorrow. Obviously the favourite will be hard to beat, and there’s a couple of unexposed types in there, but he’s going nicely at home, and he’s come on lots for his run at Ascot.
8/1 is way too big, I expected him to open sub-5/1, and whilst there are never any guarantees I wouldn’t put anyone off an each way bet.

Well done, Sir. Jefferey's Cross certainly learning the game and just got up for all the each way thieves out there. Going the right way. Sure you are happy with that?
Yes very happy with that. We know he wants a trip so we'll step him up next time. Dan expects him to win when we do. Then we'll put him away for novice chasing next season, which is what he's built for. He jumps a fence extremely well, so we have fairly high expectations next season.
Bridget's first words when she jumped off is he's a tough horse. They were always going half a stride too quick for him but he still did enough to keep himself there, and when Olly Murphy's horse came to him and headed him before the line he found a bit more and didn't want to be passed.
We'll find one more race for him in a month or so, and then he can go and have his holidays, before starting him out somewhere like Chepstow in October. Dan thinks he's got a bright future as a chaser, so we'll probably drop him right back in trip when we kick off next season and make the most of his jumping, before we stretch him back out in trip again hopefully making use of a decent mark at his optimum trip later in the season.

Bayoffreedom - I'd noticed the entry & then have seen it suggested on the open forum, but presume the intention is to run Suprise Package in the Imperial Cup?
Also - re Freedom to Dream - plan A would seemingly be the Martin Pipe? I think he would be well overpriced currently, if he were to get in.
Appreciate you may not want to give too much away at this point (and if so I will await the blog).

Happy to tell you (most of) what I know. Surprise Package is definitely running in the Imperial Cup; we are just sorting out the jockey (that's the bit i can't discuss). Kevin Sexton is nursing an injury so we are leaving him at home in order that he's good to go next week. As long as it doesn't turn into a bog, he should have a great chance. Peter said he was stone better a few days after the DRF (where he had been an uncertain runner with a runny nose - in the event, it came a few days too soon)
Freedom to Dream is likely to run in the Martin Pipe if he gets in. However, we are going to keep all options open (including the AB and a ?50k 0-150 at Uttoxeter on the Saturday) He probably has no chance in the Albert Bartlett but we bought him by mistake and we left him in at the firfeit stage by mistake so you never know - it could be meant to be. He has never been better and ran well on the bridle behind one of the DeBromhead Cheltenham horses (not going to reveal any names) in a 'schooling' Bumper at Wexford last week (not the racecourse)
