Adding Sonigino each way with all the extra places in the Lanzarote. Drifting to a nice enough price to get involved.

Really like Doddiethegreat (DTG) @ 28/1 for the Betair Hurdle. I think thats a huge price. We've only seen him 5 times in his life so is really unexposed for an 8 year old, but his form reads 11112. He was off for 746 days between 2021 and 2023, pissed in on debut at Ascot having been well backed beating a subsequent winner and I think that run at Cheltenham 3 weeks later was a typical bounce and just came a bit too soon. He tanked through the race like a good thing and just failed to pick up Go Dante giving away lots of weight. Had that race come a few weeks later I think he'd have won and gone into this race unbeaten. What price would be be then? He's had a couple of months off and I think he'll be cherry ripe today. He handled soft ground at Cheltenham so the heavy ground doesn't concern me and it's going to take some getting today. Non stayers will be exposed very quickly and we know from his 22L demolition job over 2m5f at Kempton (RPR 137) prior to his injury that he will see out the 2m well. He's by Fame And Glory who has produced 2 of the last 3 winners of this and I think he has a great win chance for a horse at such a big price. You can get around 42's on the exchange but 25/1 with 6 places elsewhere which I think is cracking. Nicky has said the aim has been the Scottish Champion Hurdle and in the last decade the horses he's targeted that race with are rated 150, 154, 147, 155, 137, 168 and 142. If thats the long term plan they must think he's a minimum 140+ horse, possibly even much better and when you look at how unexposed he is due to a stop start career, he could be thrown in off 132. James Bowen takes the ride which I thought was interesting and Nicky was quoted saying it was a very difficult decision for Nico, who rides the second favourite. Ive rolled him up using B365 to place (4 places) at 6/1 but have also backed him to win on the exchanges. In the last 10 years we've seen 5 winners at 33, 20, 16, 20 and 33, so its a race that throws up big priced winners and with heavy ground an upset could very well be on the cards. I genuinely thought DTG would open around the 12/1 mark and you can get 28/1 with 6 places with B365. If he wins then I'll be rolling around in pre-cheltenham gravy but I'll take top 4 and am confident!

I'm not going be able to add anything else on top of what you have already said... other than, I've backed him

Going to take a chance on Onlymatteroftime, the Mullins second string. Was fav for the Greatwood earlier in the season and still involved when he ran out. And then after that at Ascot it didn't seem to be quite enough of a test for him and the race suited those on the front end, when he came from the back. Seemed to get outpaced, or hit a flat spot in that race and he's clearly got his own ideas and a bit of a character but was still only 5 lengths back and finishing as well as any of them. Bigger field here hopefully a help to keep him interested.
Right at the bottom off 10st 3lb on heavy ground appeals as well. Although the ground is the slight concern, as he's never ran on ground this testing so hard to be confident either way on that.
Fav probably chucked it though isn't he. If he handles it.
Mullins RFC as well. Just in case

Going to Ludlow tomorrow.... so any tips let me know because I am STRUGGLING
Only thing I'm on so far is Fortified Fortune 5/1 in the 16.05 .... who was a head 2nd to Cantico on his only run with Premier Magic who has done well for Ben Pauling back in 3rd that day.

Not a tip but I do like a bet in the Silver Trophy, tends to be my first bet of the season
Weird but nice working through the race card again, feeling rusty but autumn is here, and so is the jumps racing
I worked through the card, leaving Doyen Quest well out of the picture, trying to find something I really liked. Its a really tough race to get a grip on, plenty of unexposed horses who are in the high 120's, low 130, then you have some experienced types in the low 130's. Do I side with experience or an unexposed type. Struggled for a while, even took at look at Lucky Zebo as he's travelled over.
Decided to watch Doyen's two wins and that was the deciding factor for me, proper Coral Cup like run, hold him back towards the back end of the pace, travel nicely into the race and then finish really really strongly. Only went up 3lbs for that last win due to the way the race panned out and the bunched up finish. Looks like a horse that prefers better going, good to soft the going here. So hope the yard have this lad prep'ed to win his early targets and then maybe freshened up for spring
I did try to go against the fav here, but... coming into this season I made a note to look at Dan's horses for big priced handicaps, and would annoy me if I didnt back who I actually like just because he's fav and may have been already posted by others as their tip for this
Silver Trophy - Doyen Quest to win (6/1)

I do think Act of Authority will run a big race today. Was a big baby last season but ran some really good races. Could be an altogether different proposition this season with an extra year on his back.
I Have a soft spot for Jetoile and he absolutely loves Chepstow. Three visits to the course and three very impressive wins. Interesting that he was originally jocked up with a claimer on his back but now usual rider Daryl Jacob has been drafted in. Perhaps him and King of Ryhope can dead heat !!

Gavin Cromwell has an interesting horse in the 2m Maiden Hurdle at Thurles today. DUNKERQUE is a recruit from Danish flat racing so it's hard/impossible to have any grasp on the form. However, the thing that piqued my interest is that he has an entry in the the Supreme. He must be showing something at home to bother with an entry. I've had a go on him at 14/1 in what looks an ordinary maiden hurdle, as they tend to be at this time of year. I've also had a couple of quid at 1000.0 of BFX for the Supreme, just in case.
