Didn't back him today. Only bet at Fez and when I go racing but hope a few of you guys got on. Ridiculous price for a decent horse. Just down to the trainers name. The horse that win at Cheltenham, Too Bandit, won again last wet. The form is good.

And saw that Captain Morgs won, there's a bit of money for guard your dreams tomorrow now, 8's on 365 but into 6's on Betfair

Really interested to see how he gets on tomorrow. Gave lumps away at Cheltenham and won really well in what has turned out to be a cracking race. He is not an 8/1 shot tomorrow. Think he'd be better over further and with a bit more cut but still think he'll run a big race.

        • Lets go for a 100/1 acca:

          Bravemansgame
          Lostintranslation
          Molly Olly's Wishes W/O Buzz
          Bristol De Mai

BMG looks very good and I'm confident Itchy Feet's jumping won't hold up under pressure.

I'm oddly sweet on LIT here. The Tizzard's are banging in winners and I think 2m5f is perfect for him as he's a strong traveller. He's had his issues, but DDS's issues were far more serious and I don't think DD will be able to give LIT 8lbs, and MTT is too unreliable.

Molly Olly's wishes was brilliant LTO and jumped the last 3 with seemingly loads left. She might not be able to beat Buzz, hence the W/W bet, but, I think she'll be the one chasing him home.

BDM is a 170+ freak at Haydock and APT has been turned over on seasonal debut as favourite 3/3. Today is not his Gold Cup.

          • Nicky talking about Buzz for todays race, interesting comment about only thinking about going up to 3m

..This is the important one for us but it is important that the ground is safe. He won the Cesarewitch at Newmarket on good ground, which was as fast as I’d liked to have run him, and if they’re calling it good at Ascot, we should be okay, but it wouldn’t want to get any firmer because then we could be in trouble. Anyway – excuses out of the way! He’s come out of the Cesarewitch in spectacular form and this race has been the plan for a very long time. We’re going up to 2m4f, which is as far as he’s been over hurdles, but this race will tell us a lot more about what we do for the rest of the season and if we have to look at three miles. This is a good stepping stone for doing something like that and this race has always seemed the obvious way to get there.

            • DJ on Upping the Ante said he was at Henderson's stable and Nicky implied when asked about the Stayers that Buzz had a lot of pace. Maybe he is having second thoughts re the Stayers.

              • Could just be me, but is Martinhal not enormously overpriced relative to Orbys Legend in the 2:25 today?

                  Edit:
Never looked comfortable whereas Bravemansgame was like relaxed on the sofa!

I wonder if Benny's King or Pistol Whipped might spring a surprise here. Dashel Drasher might need the race and the classy ones are out of form.
edit: Got that wrong both pulled up - must be the effect of my double vaccination today1

edit: well 3rd (13/2) and 4th (22/1) is an improvement. The winner's (Dans Le Vent) form links with Soaring Glory whose form keeps on being franked. (Not a windy day!)

                      • Ascot 2.40 Hard to oppose Buzz - Song for Someone seems a big price
edit 1-2 that's better - good run by Song for Someone but Buzz was so much better

                        • Ascot 3.15 I'm sticking with Amoola Gold with Dolos e/w
edit: Convinced that Amoola Gold did get ahead in that exciting finish but maybe lost it on the nod

Not entirely sure Goshen runs (?) but even if he does on good ground and up in trip for the first time I don’t fancy him.

Guard Your Dreams has too much to find.

Love Song for Someone and he has a decent record fresh but slightly put off by his last run at Aintree and am sure he would prefer more cut in the ground.

2pts on Buzz and doubling down with a roll up on Honeysuckle.
Very happy with that. Will let the market settle down but if he stays injury free I shall be having some more on Buzz in the stayers.

Nice to have a little on Honey now too.
