If Moonlighter stays on his feet then I think he'll take all the beating today. They think the world of Graeneteen down at ditcheat and that second to him at Exeter is IMO a standout piece of form in the race. He was very well backed at Newbury, and I think he'll bowl along in front and wont see a rival. He's his own worst enemy though, that's for sure, I just hope he takes to the Sandown fences and gets into a good rhythm.
Minellacelebration was subject to a freak unseating at Aintree and had that not happened could easily enter this with 111 next to his name. Was racing over the summer and absolutely pissed up at Aintree, enough to warrant going up 12lbs, and lots of the horses he thrashed has subsequently ran very well since. You can add him at 20 on the exchange and I think that's the price/bet of the day.
Bit discouraged to see Pricewise put up a horse I went for yesterday in Gemirande, but there's a lot to like about this horse. Was a double figure price, loves heavy ground, put in some decent performances in France, low weight and he's the young improve if there's one in the race.

I fancy one today at a decent price. Rathlin Rose at Plumpton in the Sussex National
We was there last year at our local course and I backed him at 50s . He got an indifferent ride from Tom Scu I thought. Finished about 3L behind doing his best work late on. Hes now been dropped about 5lb and has a claimer taking another lump off his back.
He should have won last year and is carrying 10lb less effectively. Hes my NAP

Bets I've had today. Really like Lord Du Mesnil for the National. One of many who have been clearly targeted at this race and I would be very disappointed if he finishes out the top 6. Also really like Shang Tang in a competitive as always Lanzarote. I feel he is much better than his current mark and hope he confirms the yard's thoughts that he is graded class. Again, would be disappointing if he were not to place, especially outside the top 7 with Sky. I couldn't resist not having a bet on Riders. I don't know why I have a soft spot for this horse but hope that he runs well today back over optimum conditions.Meeting Time Horse Chepstow 15.10 Lord Du Mesnil Chepstow 12.50 Nordano Kempton 15.30 Shang Tang Kempton 14.55 Riders Onthe Storm Kempton 15.57 Manucci

I've backed a few today.
Springfield Fox is my biggest bet of the day in the Welsh National at 8/1. I'm hoping he can get into a nice rhythm on the front end and think he'll take pegging back.
At Kempton I've backed Mount Mews in the Lanzarote each way 6 places and has a few quid on Ridersonthestorm.
I fancy Slate House to run a big race at Wincanton today but given the stable form he could blow out completely. At 7/1, I took a chance, win only.
