The Old Roan chase tomorrow, looks just as weak as last year to my eyes and I'm still disappointed Kalsh didn't last out in last years renewal . Anyhow basic screening shows you need to be at least rated 149 and have run at the festival in recent renewals(arguable class edge) Leaves the obvious due of Itchy & Midnight shadow. On paper with a slight weight swing on a flat deck and at more than double the prices Midnight shadow would look a strong e/w bet (especially anyone who can get on with hills 5P). The yard form absolutely stinks at present thou with most not even finishing in the same parish so it would be enough to temper enthusiasm on him for me, is it a case of Itchy having a clear class edge on the rest of the field and a G1 winner(albeit novice) should be the obvious call?
Was a little concerned about Itchy, chases improve if going softens up
Dont like backing top weights in staying handicaps, however with the ground being so good I'm keen on Frodon today
May jump and outpace these slower stayers

3.15 Flinck 7/1 E/W - Also backed this one for the Pertemps Final
3.50 Frodon 6/1 E/W
5.00 Jens Boy 11/2 E/W
5.35 Smurphy Enki 4/1 - Backed last night
Good luck to everyone having a go today
Strange day. Made plenty, with 3 of the 6 going in, but really disappointed with Flinck not being able to hit a top 6 position and Smurphy Enki falling away at the end in the bumper just now.
took the 6/4 on Julies Stowaway - good bumper horse and ran a nice 7th in Champion Bumper.
The bumper today at Cheltenham is fascinating - had a each way bet at 25/1 of Tile Tapper, he was in my tracker .. I like the horse who won his debut bumper (Tile Tapper 4th) a lot and the form has shown up well and next time out went Tile Tapper won nicely. There are a few unknowns in the race but could see Tile Tapper running into a place with his experience.
Tile Tapper bet into 9/1 and ran a really good 3rd, had a good go at the 4 places on betfair too at 5/2 when I seen the gamble - covers the losses on Julies Stoaway and a bit.
