Not sure I Am Maximus should be favourite today. Raymond Tusk is a very decent horse from the flat (2nd at Royal Ascot) and was heavily backed when odds on to win on his debut when disappointing. He'll be a difficult opponent to beat.

Was having a flick through Newbury today and found Dom Of Mary running.
Formerly with Sam Curling, he beat Hi Ho Phoenix easy. HHP looked very decent over 2m7 on his maiden hurdle debut. He's a complete stayer, but the day DOM beat him it was a 2m2 1/2 heavy ground bumper, so if a bumpers going to suit a stayer it was that one. Albeit round Fairyhouse.
Obviously the trainer he's gone to isn't best known for winning novice hurdlers or whatever, and it's possible he'll need a run or two...but at 14/1 i think he's too big to ignore.
7/2 shot Pull Again Green wouldn't to me have the form Dom has from his bumper.
I've had a pt e/w anyway.

I like the look of jetaway joey in the first at ascot tommorow..he should still be ahead of his mark and receives some weight from the fav dargianni..however hes a worthy fav as he beat guernesey last time out with guernesey being well backed today and nearly winning..but ill take him on with JJ!

L'Homme Presse price surprises me in the graduation chase at Ascot. I'd have had him third favourite but is trading at nearly evens. Must be showing a lot at home!
Tempted to back Messire Des Obeaux as showed some quite smart form this time last year before going off the boil big time. Although probably didn't stay the last day. And could excuse Sandown based on the ground. Think I've talked myself into this one...
Elliott horse I ranked as the danger, which is why the fav surprises me.

Think Innisfree Lad could outrun his odds of 33/1 in the 2.35 at Newbury.
He’s a happy horse slogging round 3m+, and has no problems in the mud. His run last time was a nice step back in the right direction, as was slightly out of his depth first time out in the Badger Ales.
He looked right at home over 4m at Kelso last time, so any further rain would aid him dropping down back to 3m2f.
He’s only 3lbs higher than his last win which was in a higher grade over a similar distance, and though he’s not always the most fluent jumper if it holds up I can see him running into a place late on.
Or maybe more if they go off too fast!
