Awe no way, what odds did you have him at? My cousin text me stating something similar, he put Freewheeling Dylan on for his missus at 250/1 each way think it was a bet to nothing to keep her sweet and it won.....she only saw the 150/1 displayed after the finish so is planning on keeping the rest!!

Annoyingly "only" 125 cos sky don't do BOG on extra place races, but I'm perversely glad cos I think their SP was 200 and given my wife has already had a huge chunk of my Cheltenham winnings, handing over a 200/1 haul to her would destroy me

Yep, I was very sweet on him in the Fred Winter and he was entered in a valuable Aintree race last week I thought he’d have a squeak but Fergal obviously saved him for this.
I think the race that’s made for him is the Swinton Hurdle at Haydock so I’m hoping Fergal thinks the same and his mark doesn’t get ruined tomorrow....

100% agree. I’ve had a fairly big bet on EV @ 11/4 and think it will piss in

Am I being unfair and talking out my pocket to think Liam Harrison was shit there? He rode EV as if he wanted cruise up the hill on the hill on the snaff. Didn't ask him a single question until the field had effectively kicked on. Perhaps reading too much into it, but I would have liked to have seen him position EV far more prominently coming down the hill.

                    • Wasn’t a great ride, but looked to me to be just about to start his move when he was hampered by the fallers.

                      • Looked like a prep run to me

That was always my fear when he was declared in such a poor race

                        • I am all over Irish Roe @ 10/1 EW 4 places off a mark of 130 back on good ground. I remember back in 2019 backing her off the boards at Aintree trying 2m4f on good ground for the first time and she obliged at 6/1. Those were her perfect conditions and she hasn't had them since. I feel like 10/1 is a bit of gift. She's slipped to her lowest mark in over 4 years and those races over 2m on soft ground simply do not suit her. She has plenty of experience around Cheltenham which lots of these don't have, the two main dangers in the market are both non-runners and she comes here fresh. I think its solid placement by connections and I expect her to go close or win at 10/1 (which has now gone into 8 or 9). She is admittedly a bit of cliff horse but she's just non existent on soft ground, but its good today!!

Having backed her at Cheltenham in the dark when she dead heated as a 5yo, only to lose my betting slip while drunkenly running the last furlong with her, I've waited a long time for her to come good for me. I'll follow you in here Charlie and the 4 places with Skybet in a 9 runner race looks a gift.

3rd was fine - decent place terms so profit booked.

                              • Not That Fuisse tomorrow - don’t think he’s ran at Ayr before but in a smallish field and under an in form Skelton, with seemingly nothing to be scared of by way of competition I fancy a strong run.
