Taking a flyer on Tiger Roll in the Boyne Hurdle. Navan 14.47 - 14/1 win only. Won this race 2 years ago off 25-1 when supposedly out for a stroll. 5th last year after Elliott flagged a lack of fitness. Elliot said yesterday he is in good form at home. Nothing shown on his two starts this season though. Heart over head stuff.

Boom as they say. Secret Investor wins at 14/1 Clan Des Obeaux 2nd at 6/5.

But The Conditional was pulled up quickly by Brendan Powell after he checked the rear legs of his mount in running.
Sadly he had to be put down.

- Soaring Glory, looked at earlier on in the week. Not sure whether there's much improvement in him. Was top of my shortlist but starting to move away from him, however just been through his form again and he may have come up against two decent horses at the start of the season, and the softer ground at Ascot may have hindered his performance. Course form aswell

Soaring Glory - fits the profile, novice yet to run in a handicap. Form line could prove to be very good. Main Bet. 2 pts win (11.5 on BEx)

Well done winners, the ground must be softer than i think as i was convinced Milkwood would be in the shake up. I bet Nigel is a tad annoyed he didn't run Gowel in the betfair he's a bit like Ballyandy mk2.

You have to get imaginative for this one but another interesting entry here is Salty Boy - 100/1 with Hills. Only 33s NRNB which is crap.

If I'm honest I'm surprised to see the entry and I don't think for one second that he's about to win this race, but he is a horse to look out for in a marathon over the next month or two on a galloping track. He was completely unsuited by the 'demands' of Plumpton in the Sussex National where everything happened too quickly and they finished in a heap. I've got this one down as being quite nicely handicapped and expect him to pop up in an unfashionable slog somewhere at a decent price.

Sorry, probably a post more suited to the general NH thread really! I was just surprised to see his name and it reminded me that he's a must bet next time out. The entry here only adds to my theory that he's well handicapped.

Trainer not having a good season although he did have a 50/1 2nd last week. It'd be lovely to see them take a nice pot after what happened with The Conditional.

Yeah he was an eye catcher in the Tommy Whittle doing some decent work late on, it's interesting the top 4 in the market are all horses carrying more than 11st and only one has bucked that trend in the last nine renewals, forecast is dry and so won't be as brutal as usual but couple firms going 5p to 7/1 so in an 12 runner race the place terms are friendly if you fancy him still.

Not a tip in the slightest (not sure where else to put it) but I see Claimantakinforgan is running tomorrow at Warwick in a race also including the likes of Benetar, Blaklion and Espoir De Guye. Anyway, great to see him back, looking forward to seeing how he gets on.
