            • If there isn't too much rain then I like the chances of edwardstone and milkwood

Milkwood one of the unluckiest losers you'll see last time

Both will need the ground to stay gd to soft though I'd think

Night edition is one i will add if the money comes after he ran a huge race in the boodles off the same mark

Just think he needs the application of money

If there's any good in the description, then I'll be a over Milkwood for this. Just have to wait and see what the morning brings

                • I'm with others here on Milkwood, hard to look past that Welsh Champion Hurdle form combined with his run last time out.

Also gone for Mister Coffey, still reckon there might be something left in his mark of 138.

                    • I am all over Milkwood @ 16/1. I think he has a massive chance and he's my only bet in the race. Would have won LTO were not for being hampered and surely escaped at least a 5lbs rise. Travelled and jumped brilliantly that day.

                      • Backed Mister Coffey on Friday night.

Think he could be well in off 138.

Skeltons are flying so Cadzand is a worthy fav imo.

Good work getting the 16s, I've had to settle for 12s. He's been the one I've wanted to back for weeks, but couldn't place the bet until I knew the ground (although I'm still not convinced by it...). Soaring Glory has the right profile for this, so have got something on him and thrown a few pennies at Ballinsker (66/1), who has form that ties in with Milkwood.

Snap, if those pair are out of the places with the concessions on offer then something has gone very wrong

                            • Risky though he is, 11/2 for Lostintranslation on a flat track and better ground should give him a great chance of bouncing back to something like his best. He has to show more today to be in the Gold Cup picture.

In the Betfair hurdle I can see why people like Mr Coffey but off a feather weight Soaring Glory really should be getting involved in the frame.

Having issues narrowing this one down

                                - Mister Coffey, didnt run his race LTO over heavy ground at Sandown. Hendo's yard failed to perform that day due to conditions. Think he could improve with better conditions today... however, I think I may skip him if Nicky's horses running earlier on the card under perform, and Nicky doesnt really win handicaps like this

                                - Cadzand, the yard are flying and I think he's a worthy favourite. Improved a lot in his last two races. Can discount, but am hoping to find something the handicap has yet to get a handle on

                                - Soaring Glory, looked at earlier on in the week. Not sure whether there's much improvement in him. Was top of my shortlist but starting to move away from him, however just been through his form again and he may have come up against two decent horses at the start of the season, and the softer ground at Ascot may have hindered his performance. Course form aswell

                                - Night Edition is one I like at the bigger prices. Pipe is good form. Ran well at the Festival. Was aimed in a proper tough race FTO, and may have been saved for this which looks weaker. Would prefer to have seen him out again this season but... a decent performance would have screwed up his mark. He's one that could be a surprise winner or finish 20 lengths back

Ballinsker - interesting prep run over bumper and ran well in Greatwood despite going. Think horse want better ground which he may get today. Could sneak a place

                                Selection:
Soaring Glory - fits the profile, novice yet to run in a handicap. Form line could prove to be very good. Main Bet. 2 pts win (11.5 on BEx)
Cadzand - Yard flying form. Expect to see a step up in improvement again. Worthly favourite. Secondary Bet. 1 pts win

                                Night Edition - 50's 0.5 pt E/W
                                Ballinsker - 50's 0.5 pt E/W

                                Denman Chase
This looks like a proper dead race, plenty of under performing horses coming here
CDS got outpaced in a King George, outpaced by Santini!!! The form coming out of that KG looks proper weak. Can't back today, despite temptation.
                                LIT looks a lost hope.

I actually like the younger horse for this, carrying 11-0. Kalashnikov @ 6/1, unexposed over this trip. Ran well LTO. Backed

Notice Hills was offering boosted odds for CDS and Greaneteen, was 7/2 boosted to 5/1. Can get 10/1 this morning. Warning signs, so I'm going against both today

If Sceau Royal is going to win a chase, he's best chance will be today. No bet for me yet.
