Id have been very dissapointed had nico got mister fisher beaten then
Was sitting motionless as kalashnikov came upsides at the last
Change in tactics worked, he jumped beautifully on the first circuit
A couple of scratchy ones after but clearly by some distance the best horse in the race

Main bet is Tegerek and couldn't believe he was 13/2 with Hills yesterday(now 9/2) considering this is a much weaker race than the Greatwood Hurdle where he came a fine 3rd. He's has only 3lbs more for this race and a run to anywhere near LTO will see him go very close IMO.

14.25 - Danny Kirwan

What a fascinating card at Cheltenham. Hopefully one particular festival dream is still alive by 3.10.
1:15 Ibleo - he's lightly raced and open to a fair bit of improvement yet, imo. He pulled away from the 3rd horse at Ascot after the last and there are doubts against his opponents today. Sky Pirate will probably look like the winner at the bottom of the hill but he doesn't seem to see out his races and the Zanza form has to have question marks against it given how that race went to.
1:50 Cepage - the same owner, trainer and jockey combo in the next. Everything looks ideal for him today. He's 7/1 with 6 places with Sky and barring a fall, I can't see him being out of the first 6. Windsor Avenue looks well treated off 148 and ran a nice race at Carlisle fto to follow Imperial Aura home. I think he has a bit in hand off that mark.
3:00 Goshen - I've said enough about himI desperately want him to prove himself in open company as he'd add a different element to the CH.
2pt Ibleo 10/3 1.5pt ew Cepage 7/1, 6 places
1pt ew Windsor Avenue 8/1, 6 places
4pt Goshen 5/2
1pt ew Ibleo and Cepage double.
Good luck today folks.

Hoping Lord Royal can bounce back with a win and keep my RSA bet alive.
Castra Vetera is one hoping can put a royal illusion and Co to bed and put herself on the Mares Novice map.
seen someone mentioned Echoes in the rain for the MNH, any quotes on that? Willie does have a strong battalion already at top of market.

I'm really liking Shang Tang in the 12.45 Ascot and hope he wins and franks the form of Arrivederci in the 3.35 Ascot tomorrow. Sky offering 5 places which a a bet to nothing IMO.
Shang Tang
6 b g Shantou – Ballyguider Bridge
He’s a very promising young hurdler who came good in style at Ascot last time over 2m5?f. After a poor run at Kempton in March we felt he’d benefit from having his wind operated on and his two runs this season have been much more like it. He has gone up to a mark of 130 and running him in a handicap off that would be very interesting. Then if it goes as I hope we could switch to Graded races. I’m not too bothered about him taking on old handicappers as he has plenty of racing experience. He has the potential to be decent over fences next season.

Two interesting horses for me at Haydock tomorrow.
Cornerstone Lad in the (12:20) makes his chase debut. Much the best of them over hurdles and it'll be a shame if he can't win tomorrow, 7/4 is a bigger price than I thought he'd be.
Best bet tomorrow though....Lord Napier
In the Tommy Whittle (14:40) Haydock, I think Lord Napier is a cracking bet at 8/1 with 4 places. Up in trip the key for me with him. He isn't grade 1 class and never will be as that Aintree run showed when 5th in the Ryanair Stayers hurdle but it was still a creditable run and back in lesser company but up in trip again I think he can get involved here. (His only runs over 3m so far have been a G1 and G2)
Peter Bowen has bigged him up, called him a stayer through and though and then ran him in races over 2m3 and 2m4 this season, clearly too short.... decent run last time over 2m7f, but I think 132 is really fair as a chase mark when his best hurdle mark is 145 and he should be just as good as a chaser, which puts him well in for me.
Peter Bowen doesn't sent many to Haydock either, which was eye catching to me too!
To sum up, it's the longest trip he'll have been over, which I see as a positive, he's potentially 13lb well in on his hurdle mark and the trainer doesn't send them to Haydock for no reason (3 wins from 8 runners as far as I can see)...
At Ascot, not a betting race but think (13:15) Caribean Boy will probably be too good for Itchy Feet although would like to see Itchy Feet win it and have backed Regal Encore in the (15:00) - hoping The Conditional doesn't win by a wide margin!
(15:35) I'll probably have a bet, but my shortlist so far is pretty long, as in no order I fancy Not So Sleepy, Lightly Squeeze, Night Edition, Master Debonair, Botox Has and Belfast Banter
Have also posted in my diary about what I may do in the Long Walk race (14:25 Ascot)
