Is she odds against now? She doesn't look it on oddschecker?

Pile in, even will look stupid come 2.15 on Sat

General 8/11 with bookies but still plenty of 1.99 on machine. Call it evens for arguments sake(as i cba to work out the slight difference). Should she win and go 2/1 post race the roll up is 5/1, should she go 6/4 it still at 4/1 is better than the 3/1 on offer should anyone be wanting to get her onside in anticipation of an expected win.

    • I don't particularly like betting at short odds on the horses as my record is terrible and I'm without doubt a losing punter.

It'll be a watching race for me.

Fair enough, i went in on Global citizen for the 0-150 hcap and Pauling hasn't even declared him ,so I'm behind before the weekend even starts

        • Followed you in on that one Outlaw... But looking again at the race this evening, Zanza looks big at 10s with bet365 (15/2 elsewhere). His efforts on decent ground at Newbury stick out on a trawl through his form. I like Moonlighter but thought they'd be much closer in price. Hopefully claw some of that global citizen bet back anyway...

Reading Faugheen's comment about having a poor record with short priced horses takes me back to this time last year. My mates and I all got stuck into (well, as much as you can with sky bet) a special for champ, paisley Park and buveur dair at about 5s. Being at the races on the Saturday, a few shandies had been consumed in celebration of an expected facile victory. Getting a horse beat at 2/13 was a new record for me and I'm not sure my punting ever recovered last season... There were some choice words being thrown in Barry's direction from the bars in Newbury!

          • Sounds like your angling for a justice refund haha.
I've not really got an opinion worth sharing now as i was very keen on the thought of GC giving weight to this field. No doubt he will chuck him into graded company again nto()but if he can find him a hcap(good luck with another 0-150) i would be very interested in him. GL with your punt anyway, long term game money is only lent

            • Politesse looks interesting in the first tomorrow

Took some 100/30 off 365 an hour ago

              • Oh FFS, Yorkhill running again tomorrow, in the last at Newcastle.

                40/1

                Sigh.

Only 0.5 pts e/w this time (I will wait until the morning!)

                  • Bets I've had for today. All at Newbury.

                    12.10 - Politesse
                    13.15 - Highest Sun / Canelo
                    13.50 - Champagne Hill / Rathhill
                    14.25 - Boxox Has
                    15.00 - The Conditional / Kildisart / Mister Malarkey
                    15.35 - The Russian Doyen

In The Ladbrokes, I was lucky to cash out Sam Brown and I've also cashed out Black Op and traded out of Vinndication. I'm still very keen on The Conditional and now that the ground is good, I also like Kildisart and Mister Malarkey.

                    Good luck everyone!

                    • I'm going to give Not So Sleepy another go today (38.0). After two comfortable wins at Ascot, false starts in the Betfair Hurdle and Champion Hurdle cost him any chance in those races. He's got it all to do on ratings but in a small field with a weak looking favourite (in terms of betting exchanges) he looks worth chancing to me.

                      1pt Not So Sleepy.

                      • My nap of the day is The Butcher Said in the 3.15 at Newcastle. Whilst I am sure TBB would have accounted for him at Cheltenham, he was giving him something to think about and 8lbs which was impressive given TBB is now rated 148. TBS runs off a mark of 139 and I don't think the market principles will be able to give him more than a stone

                        • Beware the Bear is another I like at a big price. It's a push to see him winning but he's finished 4th in the race the last two years and goes really well fresh. At 28/1 and 6 places I've had a go at him.

1pt ew Beware the Bear 28/1.

Also a very small ew double with Not So Sleepy 33/1 as Betfair SB are paying 3 places in the Fighting Fifth.

                            .
He'll run his race FM but like you say would be a stretch to see him winning, I backed him 33/1 a couple of weeks ago 4 places and I'd rather have your terms, I might play 5/6 places on the fair.
That said I'm very sweet on Kildisart who looks to have a progressive profile to me, 7/1 6 places.

Couple of other I like today at prices:

                            1.50 Hang in There 9/1 4p
2.25 Pisgah Pike 18/1 and Thyme White 7/1

                            Good luck all
