A proper trial for the 3m novices chase (former RSA) in the Leo 1.45 - I like Vanillier and Fury Road here but an open race.

Good to see Fury Road win at a good price of 7/1!

Dickie Diver/Masters Legacy in the Newbury 2.0

I'm not keen on chasers going over hurdles but brave Dashel Drasher proved me wrong.

        Hoping Sharjah wins another Matheson!

edit: a neck or so is the difference between a (perceived) brilliant ride and a bad one by Patrick Mullins - Zanahiyr has earned a place in the Champion hurdle there.

In a weak Challow the Irish horse (Gringo d'aubrelle) is the obvious choice but I wonder if an outsider might win: Party Business

          edit:
A good win by Stage Star but how good is the winner?

Party Business looked a real danger before falling. There are far too many falls in GB NH races imo - as John Francome says the jockeyship is not too good these days with some exceptions of course!

Saturday Cheltenham, Relkeel Hurdle, Guard Your Dreams. Loves Cheltenham. Big improver. Won International last time despite clearly needing further. Beat Heaven Help Us in process who has franked form. Win Saturday and he'll get a Stayers entry . Took the 9/1 with Hills this morning which was too big. Into 7's now. Expect him to be half that at the off. Put him up in Stayers thread in October and backed him Ew at 66's with B365. Now into 20's with them .

Interesting shout. Always keen to take on Mcfabulous. Looks like you've got good price. Competitive little race though to be fair.

Quite like Simply The Betts in the G3 handicap chase. Went well in the PP GC for a long way on his first start for a year, and first start for Nicholls. Was a good second until the last half furlong or so, or third if CC stood up. I'm going to say he didn't stay in the Many Clouds lto but he didn't jump with any fluency so it's potentially a bit more of a concern than not staying, but I'll forgive him that one run over a new trip, under new tactics and at a completely different course. These are clearly his favoured conditions, and Cheltenham is very much his track, he's 2/2 over C&D. Hopefully return to racing prominently as well. Doubt Nicholls is plotting him for a festival handicap, so I suspect he'll be out to win this. 16/1 seems a bit overpriced to me.

Funambule Sivola the unknown in the race, who also has some smart form. Going to cover at 7s also.

I also like guard your dreams in the relkeel, as you say he does look a big improver and ground and distance will suit, will add art approval, millers bank and either funambule sivola or coole cody to make a lucky 15.

Guard Your Dreams into 5's now, 9/2 in a place.

                  Make that 7/2 now !!

Someone more competent than me tipped this up? 16s into 10s. Love a good value loser

Guard Your Dreams been smashed as well lads.

                      Early Chelt races:
12.15 Getatonic e/w Pull Again Green
                      12.50 Honest Vic/Destinee Royale/Big Nasty
                      13.25 Glancing Queen e/w Fantastikas
The Alan King mare has been very impressive and Fantastikas was not disgraced behind 3under35 - that could turn out to be very good from

This being a Saturday there's plenty of other good racing today!

12:50 - Honest Vic, I have to back a horse when conditions suit, said he's a proper stayer and with the ground being a little softer, also being on the new course, I expect a good run. Price drifted out a bit, I'll take that

Course form works well in these competitive handicaps so:

                            2.0 Coole Cody/Kauto Riko/Simply the Betts/Vienna Court

                            2.35 Kansas City Chief/Botox Has/Ask Dillon

14:00 - siding with those who have ran well over good ground but they really want soft, also course form in decent races

Galahad Quest - ran well in the PPGC, still a young horse and scope to improve from current mark
Alnadam - in my tracker, another one that wants softer ground. Ran well at the fez over 3m 1f before not seeing the trip. Drop in trip will suit, going will suit

Bit annoying that. But a good 2nd.
