The wind will only have to be blowing in the wrong direction for Hendo to pull him out.
I really like Politilogue in this and took the 10/1 and 8/1 a while ago. He'd have little to no chance if a prime Altior turned up but I'm not convinced Altior is going to be the horse he was. Hope I'm wrong on that though

They might as well let him have a go .... if it bottoms him, or he flops, just give him a break and bring him back in March on hopefully better ground?

Yeah could see that, they won't have loads of options on better ground. My point was more in relation to ff91's view that he should be shorter than Greaneteen. If it was on good ground i wouldn't be against that, but given it's likely to be softer.
Moonlighter didn't enhance the Greanateen form this weekend just gone did he?
I'd prefer RV to him myself, but that means I just might back him on the day and chance him on the ground rather than play it ante post. I should have taken Politilogue ante post when someone mentioned it at 10/1.
Missing out on that means I'll just wait until the day.
Not got enough confidence in Altior to pile in to him, may end up with no bet!

As a horse so would i at this stage, but given the forecast i wouldn't be confident on him for this. You're right though the play is to hold off, as with some rain he might even drift a bit more, or be pulled.
I thought Castlegrace Paddy was an interesting one for the big priced e/w angles, Coral still paying 3 places at 25s. He is likely to also have the option of staying at home and running at Cork. Though with the dead 8 here, and possible ground/fitness concerns of some, it's might be a shrewd bit of placing. He's not good enough on his form to win, but with softer ground he's good enough to run well and place. Having won 3xG2s you'd hope they might have a tilt at this, but then he won a Hillyway so they might just go back for that....
Just read in the Irish Indo, that Pat Fahy is keen to run at Sandown but the rain needs to come or he won't go. Thinks tongue tie has been a huge help to him.Last edited by jack1092; 1 December 2020, 08:37 AM.

Erghh another antepost punt nicking value early and no run for it, Part of the game but rough lately !
Still love you Altior, not so much Nicky.
Edit(below)
Worth noting P/P are doing a "justice refund" for anyone who had backed antepost with them. It's not something they should do or anyone should expect to receive but fair play to them.Last edited by Outlaw; 4 December 2020, 10:38 PM.

Dont know that to make of that decision
Really really disappointed as a fan of the sport that a superstar is a NR for the Tingle Creek!!! Disappointing as I was really looking forward to the race and seeing Altior being back
Is it really that bad at Sandown, I've seen it be worse
It's getting a little silly now, ground is too good, ground is too soft... now, Altior is getting on and this year will be his last chance to regain the QM but it's so frustrating as a punter and fan
