Yeah I really want Copperhead to win. I'd be lying if I didn't say his last two runs having reduced my confidence slightly, I just love his profile for the race. He ticks so many boxes for me.

Appreciate I'm potentially opening myself up to dogs abuse here post race, but wtf is Vinndication doing at 5/1? Have people not seen him going left handed? Did people not watch his version of schooling at Newbury? I'd give him serious thought at 14/16, but wtf he's doing in there at 5's god only knows. Can someone please make the case for Vinndication and help me see the light? Happy to eat humble pie should he do the business

Yeah backed him a while back(is on a thread somewhere) at 14s as didn't want to be going in on the day at circa 6-8s. He's 11/1 now so maybe not my best play but i liked him all last year until Rsa wanted the Nh Chase(not that it would of mattered given how he ran and the yard). Yeah very short on Vinni especially when you look at what horses it has taken to win this off 160+ in the past !

I havnt backed Vinndication but can see the logic in fav @ 7/1 B365. His last 2 runs have been on LH tracks producing career best RPRs. He is 6 lb well in with The Conditional and 3lb better off with Kildisart compared to the Ultima. His trainer and jockey are in good form. I prefer his stable mate Two for Gold

        • I’ve just had 0.5P on Two For Gold 10/1.

No point going in too heavy on this race, very open field.

I remember a few on him for the Ultima at the Cheltenham Festival, and believe if he was good enough to win that he has possible Gold Cup prospects, or something along them lines. Well, he didn't run a bad race by any means, finishing 4th but only missing out by 2 3/4 lengths, with 11-12 on his back. The Ladbrokes Trophy is not in the same league as the Gold Cup, and could easily see him giving it a fair crack, should he turn up.
Just added Copperhead 11/1 E/W (6 places) to go with my Vinndication bet from May

Did you see the video of him schooling around Newbury last week? If not, I wouldn't bother. It's a horror show !!

Heard about it but didn't see it. Bailey referenced it and wasn't bothered. Hard enough to try race reading and now we have to try reading gallops!

It was horrible though. Didn't jump one nicely. Jumped loads slow and to the right. Ploughed through one and landed on top of another. I was going to back him along with Kildisart but it put me off bigtime.

                      • Some big prices on the exchange this morning. The Conditional is out to 22.0 and Copperhead 20.0

Yeah, I can't believe the price of The Conditional, especially when I backed him AP at 9s! I've still very keen on him and have been topping up on these big prices.

Bridgewater's quotes suggest that he might need the run but he's firmly on my radar at those prices.

                            • Added Mr Malarky @ 25 on the exchange this morning - too big.

SE attracting lots of support - PN did say it was his best chance this weekend, I just thought his jumping out left LTO coupled with jumping errors and mainly small field experience will count against him.

                              Two For Gold calling me

I went back and watched Secret Investor in the Denman chase at Newbury and his jumping was actually pretty good. That said even though I took the 12s during the week but probably wouldn't go in at the 8s floating around now.

Also added Kildisart this morning as if he'd won and I wasn't on I'd be kicking myself. Especially the way the ground has turned out.
