He got in but was withdrawn on account of the ground last time - agree he's very interesting with some rain forecast next week. One slight issue is that he's also been entered at Ascot in the 3m chase the week afterwards, it might be a ground precaution but worth considering.

He’s shortened in to a general 100/30 shot now - presumably he is an intended runner. Glad I didn’t get stuck into Protektorat. Think he’s priced fairly and he may well win but he wasn’t the value he looked when IA was a likely non-runner. (At the time IA was a general 6/1 shot)

Fairly pleasing prep run for Ask Me Early today, there’s still some 8/1 to be had

It's only a point lost if he doesn't turn up but a potential win of 157.5 points and only a 4.75 point cashout, I may as well let it slide. Let's see what happens - hopefully I at least get a run for my money

Ah shame, but only 1 point lost. Now to find the 'new' winner...

West Cork at 8/1 looks a standout amongst the entries for the Betfair Exchange Trophy at Ascot in a couple of weeks.

Isn’t he likely to be put away for the County? I’m very wary of getting involved until it’s the confirmed target, for all I do agree he’s probably the best treated (depending what Samarrive gets tomorrow)

                    From Skeleton's stable tour:
West Cork. He was fantastic in the Greatwood. I was hopeful of him running a big race because his work at home had been brilliant, but it was a mammoth task after such a long layoff. I’m so proud of the whole team to get him back like that. We’ll go for the big handicap hurdle at Ascot just before Christmas and plan from there.

                          • Yeah he’s been battered in today!

Doubled him with Constitution Hill for hopefully a decent roll up.

Had already back at 20/1 with 365.

                            Pray for rain haha!

I saw him at 20's and almost backed him but didn't, then he was tipped in the sporting life and the best price dropped to 16's, bloody fuming !

                              • With Potektorat running away with the race at Aintree the Paddy Power GC form is red hot. The winner of the Caspiar will come from that race but not sure which one ! Midnight Shadow would have won a lot easier without the horrible jump at the last and was 2nd in the Caspian last year behind a plot horse with the 3rd miles behind so perhaps he's being dismissed a bit easy ?
