Potektorat looks a snip at 3/1 in the Many Clouds doesn't he ? Champ not running, ABP unlikely to run or will need it if he does. Potektorat demolition job at Aintree in April sticks in the memory bank.

Would’ve thought the Paddy Power Gold Cup was the obvious early season target but they skipped that for Exeter.

Caspian Caviar would also seem a logical aim, but seem to be taking a strange route if it is, today’s entry is certainly an odd one.

Maybe they’re playing the long game & all roads lead to the Plate?
This has been bugging me also as thats 2 big pots they could've gone for but seen to not be, surely the only explanation can be that they're going all out for the plate like you have said?!

Hopefully a nr at Haydock or a very obvious jig jog around the back, perhaps for a bit more race jumping experience (thinking very optimistically)

Agree Alnadam would have a chance, completely emptied in the Ultima so 2.5m looks to be his trip.
Did see this in the Racing Post:

Coconut Splash and last year's Paddy Power Gold Cup winner Coole Cody both have entries for Evan Williams, but a decision on their participation will not be made until next week.

Williams said: “Coconut Splash is declared for Haydock on Wednesday and I’d like to see him run well there before deciding about the week after. Coole Cody is in on Sunday for the Peterborough Chase, but I'd imagine we’d wait until this time next week before deciding where we go with him. He needs a good school and we’ll decide then once he’s gone over a few fences."

Sounds to me like they're at least considering running in both?

I almost came to exactly the same conclusion (which is worrying?!).

The fly in the ointment for me is Imperial Aura. I don’t think he’s a proper grade 1 horse and I was against him for the Betfair Chase. But this is very much his level.

Anyone know if IA is an intended runner?

Thanks for this - I hadn't seen it. Sounds a bit more positive, but it's difficult to see how a 'jig-jog' around a heavy ground Haydock could help his chances 10 days before the race. If he schools nicely, then gets pulled up before it's too tough however...

Agreed, although it did seem like they weren't all that hard on him...

No it didn't. He jumped reasonably well and finished with a decent amount of running in him, but I didn't get a massively positive feel from the race (but then that may have been affected by my thoughts before the race!). It's only a point lost if he doesn't turn up but a potential win of 157.5 points and only a 4.75 point cashout, I may as well let it slide. Let's see what happens - hopefully I at least get a run for my money

Think he is as long as it’s not heavy.

For the second time this season now. A decent handicap in mind, I feel.

                              ABP not declared either.

Just 5 remain in Tingle Creek. A decent 5 though ! Chacun declared.

Farinet 20/1 0.5P e/w for the Caspiar next week. Missed out of running in the Paddy Powers November meeting when backed and Venetias are in good form at the minute. Hopefully gets in this time and will have a very low weight. Cepage may be kept in to keep his weight down.
