Just had a little go on that, cheers for posting it, eggs. One or both the main two Irish horses bound not to run now though !

Not something I can take advantage of but that is decent value…

Looks good with 2 strong fancies but 1 Irish win in 40 years doesn't fill me with confidence !

Stats are made to be broken

And who better to break them than mullins and de bromhead

After the Irish domination at Cheltenham I'm willing to overlook that stat !

Quite like the look of Remastered at the prices, 12/1 available.

Only slight concern is the ground, but he ran on good to soft on his comeback run over hurdles this season beaten a couple of lengths into third. On a nice weight as well. The 3m6f was maybe just a bit much for him in the NHC at Cheltenham. If Ontehropes and Eklat are proper graded horses in a handicap then it may be hard for him to win but could be decent for a place.

I already have by backing Ontheropes AP. Will get Eklat onside as well once NRNB is in play. Fiddlerontheroof makes up my three for the race.

I quite like demachine, each way, who is closely matched with remastered.

Yeah I think he’ll confirm the form with that win last season.

The run over hurdles was obviously to protect his mark as well I’d imagine so I think the Ladbrokes has been a longish term plan since Cheltenham.

Coconut Splash is entered in the Caspian Cavar at Cheltenham in a couple of weeks. I know he was a fancy of a few on here for the Paddy Power, so I don't see any reason why after his prep run he can't go close in this having been kept back because they couldn't get a run into him. His RPRs consistently show him to be ahead of his mark, which is a measure I'm always keen on in a handicap and I took a lot of encouragement from Coole Cody's run in the Paddy Power and Evan Williams' general ability to get one ready for the big races this year.

20/1 generally available, which I managed to nab at the weekend in a double with Kapcorse so hopefully the coconut can give me a run for my dollar in a fortnight!

I think it’s fair to say he was ‘tenderly handled’ last time out...

It’s one of this you could easily see going off at single figures if they line up

I thought Coconut’s jumping was scratchy enough on return to put me off in a big field handicap (although I did like him for the Paddy Power so maybe shouldn’t be thinking too deeply about that). He’s also entered for Haydock on Wednesday so seems unlikely for them to take that in 10 days before this?

Alnadam is another that could easily go off a fraction of his current 14/1. Has run some huge races and the intermediate trip on soft ground now that rain is finally arriving looks perfect. Ultima he was so well backed but just couldn’t see the trip out

Didn't see the entry at Haydock before I put the bet on - now he's been declared, I'd be surprised if he ran in both. Could be a 'dead in the water' antepost pick before we even get to the week of the race! Hopefully a nr at Haydock or a very obvious jig jog around the back, perhaps for a bit more race jumping experience (thinking very optimistically)

Agree Alnadam would have a chance, completely emptied in the Ultima so 2.5m looks to be his trip.

I've gone back in again on Farinet for the Caspian at 25/1. Was a non-runner on the day for the Paddy Power, which I imagine was due to ground concerns. First start in a novice chase finishing 3rd behind Galahad Quest, according to the owner he wasn't even trying and that was just an introduction to fences over here, then went on to win an energy sapping race at Sandown in the mud over two miles 4. Venetia has her horses running really well first time out and I think this one could be out to make a mockery of its current mark. The more rain the better as I think in time the horse will love a trip.

Part owner Mindy Hammond is from Cheltenham and I think she'd be keen to have a winner at the course, all being well with plenty of rain I think this would be the goal.

Hard to work out what their plan is with Coconut Splash this season.

Would’ve thought the Paddy Power Gold Cup was the obvious early season target but they skipped that for Exeter.

Caspian Caviar would also seem a logical aim, but seem to be taking a strange route if it is, today’s entry is certainly an odd one.

Maybe they’re playing the long game & all roads lead to the Plate?
