    ew - DISTANT GODESS 6/1

Should be no bigger than 8/11 here.

Incredible price in a race where there are only 4 possible winners and 2 of them stand no chance.

RIDESON is the well backed favourite but is now 0/3. She sets the standard on form but was beaten by a Charlie Appleby horse last time so the godolphin man knows exactly where he stands with this horse.
Ridesons experience should ensure she takes one of the places but she is unlikely to win.

VEGAS ANGEL is trained by Haggas. Haggas is 0/7 in the last 2 weeks (all single figure odds) with 4 of the 7 unplaced. Been 20 days since he last had a winner and does better in aw maidens than novices though he still has a decent record in these types of races.
She was 300,000 guineas as a foal, Ben Curtis has a strong record for Haggas on the aw.

The trainer form and the fact she is still actually a 2yo for another 3 months puts me off her. Both Godolphin newcomers have 3-4 months development ahead of this one.

The race is surely in the bag for Charlie Appleby.

He has a 51% strike rate in 3yo aw novice races.
He is 9/24 with 3yos at Wolverhampton.
He is 18 from 39 with all 3yos on Tapeta.
He is in form with 5 winners from last 16 runners.

It is highly likely he will train the winner. The market says Endless Echoes is the number 1 and she is markedly shorter.
The colours however state that the 800,000 guineas daughter of Dubawi is the stable number 1.

Kieran O Neil is 1/2 on Appleby aw 3yos, Luke Morris is 2/2 but if Kieran wins today they are both 2/3.

DISTANT GODESS is drawn wide in 11 but 2 of the 3 rivals are next to her in 9 and 10 so its not an issue as the rest of the field are garbage.

DISTANT GODESS should prove too classy for this lot and its hard to see her not being in the first 3 home at absolute worst.

Her stablemate is the obvious danger.

Rideson the short priced favourite is ridden by Charlie Bennet who hasnt ridden a winner in his last 62 rides stretching 80+days. He has never ridden an aw winner for Varian.
His prospects of ending his abysmal streak here are not very encouraging with two rockets wearing royal blue.

We could well see Distant Godess at Royal Ascot later in the year.

King Kieran O'Niel is sat on a rocket here. One touch EXPLOSION.

Job done. Money in the bag.

Charlie Appleby was never not going to win that race.

Nice work this. Only just saw the thread. I was on her too but was she ever 6s? Great price.
