  • Ban bad jumpers from racing

Is it time that NH racing introduced specialised judges to cut out the liabilty horses from chasing. Maybe some official figure who has the power to say "you have ran in 3 chase races and your jumping is a liability you are banned from chases".

Some horses just arent natural jumpers and everytime they run you expect them to fall at any moment. The official could ban these for 12 months. Then they should be made to pass a test if they want to try chasing 12 months later. A bit like a driving test.

This would stop a lot of deaths happening. The dangerous jumpers are not only endangering their own lives but that of the other horses and jockeys in the race.

Any horse can fall and you shouldnt be banned just for a fall but we need experts with the power to say 'that horse is a liability and isnt safe to enter chases'.

This would show that the sport takes safety seriously. We dont allow bad drivers and have a driving test so why do we allow bad jumpers in NH.
