My only other bet is actually in the same race - Low Sun @ 50/1 EW 7 places and a nibble on the exchange @ 80's. Willie has described this horse as 'lazy as sin' which made me laugh, but he does not want soft/heavy ground. His form on it is abysmal and he simply throws the towel in. Back on yielding/good ground he seems like a different horse with form figures of 51145161. Ruby gave him a favourable mention on the Cheltenham preview circuit as a horse that retains lots of ability, he just never went. The last few years have passed him by, but he's a Cesarewitch winner, a Galway Festival winner and is trained by someone banging in all sorts of winners. That little spin on the flat over 1m5f at Gowren was presumably getting him ready for this, and whilst I don't expect him to win, I can see him hitting the frame at a big price.
Away from Punchestown I am all over Minellacelebration @ Uttoxeter @ 8/1 but make no mistake, today is Wembley day!!

The 5-05 looks very competitive and there are many horses in the race at big prices that could run well.
I'm backing the Shunter cos I have all season, but this looks his toughest race.
In fact the one thing that struck me as I looked through the runners, was that if any of these 27 were in a handicap in the UK, they'd be favourite or at least in the top 3 of the betting.
Which shouldn't be right, but it s.

5.05pm done 'Crack Mome , I actually looked at this horse last night as it was the 2nd reserve, it's now somehow got in the race which took me by surprise. Its 40/1 it's been off for 2 years and coming back on a competitive mark on handicap debut off 131. Connections do win big handicaps like this and Mullins knows how to prepare horses after a long lay off.
I feel something might happen since the 1at reserve got taken out and 2 other horses in the race. Good jockey booking too, risky I know but having a cheeky bet on it.

5.05pm. What an absolutely cracking handicap to get stuck into and loads in with chances imo as I had an initial shortlist of 8 horses! I've gone for Drop The Anchor and Power Of Pauses. DTA has been very consistent in big handicaps all season and I've been waiting for this step up in trip as he is always off the bridle late on but finds plenty for pressure and Simon Torrens gets a good tune out of him. POP was still going well in a G2 when brought down lto and I think he is well handicapped and I'm expecting a big run on this better ground which he should appreciate. I was gutted with Gabynacko unseating at the first in the Martin Pipe. He's another who I think is very well handicapped and can see he has been backed today but Gavin Cromwell's form has put me off.
