Funny you should ask that, I was looking earlier at Skys boosted doubles for Cheltenham just gone, as I kept a record of them this year:
Envoi/Shishkin (2/1 to 7/2)
CPS/Monkfish (5/1)
CPS/Appreciate It (3/1 to 6/1)
Honeysuckle/Monkfish (5/1 to 8/1)
Concertista/Monkfish (5/2 to 4/1)
Energumene/Al Boum Photo (10/1 to 14/1)
CPS/Easysland (11/4 to 5/1)
Kilcruit/Thyme Hill (14/1)
So just the 1 winner from the 8, although if you backed them all for a tenner, you're a tenner up! Not sure what it's like in previous years.
You've confirmed my suspicions lol thanks. I'm always wary when bookies pick out 3/4 teams in a football accumulator and boost that as well.
If chacun loses tomorrow, it'll be safe for me to bet envoi straight after!
What's your/people's experience of winning on price boosted doubles? Whenever I see something like that, I immediately think one of them is going to lose and I steer clear! For what it's worth, I like envoi for his race so in my mind it's chacun that's the losing leg in that bet.
....funnily enough the couple I backed to small stakes at the Festival both came in (highlighted on here).
Just seen a twitter picture of Declan Phelan's update, and he's said that from the same source that told him Ferny Hollow was out, is saying that Monkfish has been receiving injections in his back since the festival...
I’m going to try and keep it simple tomorrow, back Foster (Elliot) and JP McManus horses in the handicap hurdle races, Willie in the Graded except Envoi who I think will smash them tomorrow but I still think he would win a Ryanair but not a Gold Cup
I like First Flow for the 2ml Champion chase tomorrow, B365 @ 14/1. He ran a great race at Ascot in January at Ascot beating Politologue 7l. He didn't jump well at Cheltenham (didn't act on the course?) but did well to be only 6l behind Nube Negra and 5l behind CPS. He is best on RH flat track and I can see him tucking in behind Allaho for the first 3 or 4 fences before taking it up and hopefully powering home from a non staying CPS
Not much I fancy tomorrow really, only one I've backed is Call Me Lyreen in the 4.50. Looked pretty impressive early in the season and had a long break before a recent run to blow the cobwebs away. Kennedy on board, 20/1, the right trainer for this type of race. Worth a play imo.
