  • Mossy Fen looks an appealing price in the 2m4f novice chase

    hills open 13/2

He gets 8lbs off protektorat and 5lb off southfield stone

Interesting to see if other firms go bigger

id be dubious about whether its his best track but at the weights that seems too big a price

Leroy definitely sweetened up since going hurdling. I am hoping the forecast rain on BHA site will change going to G/S by 4pm Friday which will help Panic Attack

        • How many of the 17 entries in the PPGC do we think will be declared?

I wonder if it might cut up a fraction so took 12s Siruh Du Lac and 9s Al Dancer, both each way.

Itll be interesting to see how Potters Corner takes to the course. He's getting lumps of weight but I'd still struggle to see him being Easysland.

                • Most of them are running out of the handicap

cottins other horse wouldve been interesting but he has to run off 145 not his actual mark of 128

Chris Gordon is in tomorrows weekender with the stable tour and confirms he is going coupled with Johnson on(some don't like but that's for another day) and the race having had single digit runners the last 3 years i'm happy to take the 8/1 on offer with Lads(15/2-7s freely available) with the opinion that it cuts up considerably and if not at worst he will be 7s on the day.
Half the battle won with the 9 runners and the price settling at 4s, now for Johnson to kick off his season and ride a couple of winners Friday please

The other French horse Vino Royale is clearly of interest. Shouldn't get anywhere near the front 2 based on ratings but it's very difficult to rate these young improving French XC horses. With Tiger maybe just here for a trot round, Vino Royale without the fav could be the bet.

17lb out of handicap mind you.

Potters corner is of interest. Was sent loose schooling down to Henriettas before his welsh nat win, improved for that no doubt. Same school Mr Elliott measured inch by inch and replicated in Meath, can only be apositive in this sphere.

                          • Son of camas a potentially interesting runner Saturday in the 3.25, was rumoured to be going chasing and i just wonder if they fancy landing a hurdle pot before they do( i had hoped he would make up to a graded hurdler last year). He's had another wind op this summer going by the RP tour with Hendo, He might not be sure to line up but standout 10/1 worth chancing imo with other firms trimming him across the board as it's a race he should be competitive in if he does line up and would be at least half of that.

Yep but I think Easysland was rated around a stone behind Yanworth when he won at Cheltenham's December meeting last year wasn't he? So hard to rate these French XC horses.
