Usually like to try to find some value mid week but its impossible to know what will run with mullins never jocking anything up

Same with aidan on the flat

Do we know if ITV are showing the grade 1s?

Gordon on SG - "If you asked me to put my hand on my heart, I'd probably say we will go straight to Cheltenham with Sir Gerhard and run Chemical Energy at the weekend.

"Sir Gerhard is six and has plenty of experience. We could give him a hard race here six weeks before Cheltenham and do we really want to do that?"

and on Ballyadam - "Ballyadam worked well this morning as well, but I would be concerned if the ground came up soft. Cheltenham is less than six weeks away now and Cheltenham is where I want to train winners so we might not risk him if it's bottomless.

"I was very impressed with Appreciate It over Christmas – he took the eye out of my head – and he will be hard to beat, but I wouldn't be forgetting about Ballyadam just yet and I would put a line through his run at Christmas."

Value wise, I like the look of Abra at 9/1 in the ICH with 365. Surely he goes of much shorter on the day? A small field and a chance to redeem himself. I watched last years Supreme back and my word that was a classy run. Surely that class hasn’t disappeared ...

I was keen on a ‘redemption double’ with Ballyadam but seeing those quotes from GE I’ll leave it as a single.

Do you think the small field will help him?

I'd have thought the opposite.... I think he wants a big field (or at least, a strong pace and plenty of cover) and arrive late....

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. I meant 9/1 on Abra in a small field I.e. just five runner, offered value.

I agree with you that a larger field would probably help his run based on last years Supreme showing. But I don’t see a small field as a massive issue. His jumping needs to sharpen up but I’m prepared to take that risk.

                        Ah yeah fair enough.

I'm gutted with him. I thought he'd be the bees knees this year. I hope he bounces back

Will be trying my hardest not to get carried away with things this weekend, but couldn't not back Saldier at 10/1. I love Honeysuckle but still not convinced about her at this distance. I always feel Sharjah is unpredictable and Abacadabras and Saint Roi were quite disappointing last time. Obviously hoping for an improvement from Saldier too but I think there's a very good chance we'll see it.

Petit Mouchoir front running should help us see the best from Saint Roi and Abacadabras.

there will be no excuses for any of them

He didn't lead last time all 3 were in the same race?

Honeysuckle more likely to lead, no?
