Sprintre Sacre retired

A truly outstanding racehorse.
I remember seeing him in the pre parade ring at Cheltenham before his first champion chase, I've never seen a horse so muscular, he gave you the impression he could bully his way to the line.
He put up some of the best performances I've seen over the years, last years champion chase let to the most emotional scenes I'd ever witnessed in the winners enclosure and he will be remembered as one of the greats.

A horse of a lifetime. Last Sunday I was paying tribute to a supremely talented horse in Vautour, Sprinter Sacre was on another level.
I was pleading with connections to retire him after the disappointment of the 14/15 season - I just couldn't bear seeing the horse like that. Thank goodness they stuck with him and gave us all last season.
This quote sums him up for me
His ability and charisma go together. He is the epitome of the horse who looks the part, moves the part and is the part
