I've taken a chance on the Ben Pauling topweight in the last, reports positive on wellbeing and whilst any handicap is difficult to win off the top this one does look to be a classy horse, 7s is a nice e/w play.

Talking of tomorrow, Fergal O'Brien has had a brilliant start to this season, he sends Jennys Surprise to Kelso for the staying chase.
Fergal is one of the best trainers around of stayers and this one progressed massively as last season went on, he is all stamina.
Will need to check the decs later this morning but if he goes he could be worth a small investment, won first time out last season too I think so doesn't take much readying....

I'm really keen on Boondooma tomorrow but it appears plenty of others are too as the 9/1 has just disappeared. I'll wait and get the best price tomorrow morning. I've heard good reports about his work on the gallops.

I was trying to sneak some 7/2 River Wylde in the bumper, missed that by seconds and thought I wouldn't bother with the 3 and hope for a drift in the morning, now 9/4 !
Still a touch bigger around but blue everywhere.

I quite like the look of Cogry today in the opener, the yard are said to be confident of a big run, will dip my toe in with my first decent ew of the season, and keep my fingers crossed
