Major racing milestone reached tomorrow when racing returns to Hereford 4 years after closure.
It's unlikely the fixture will throw up too many Festival winners but I love a day at a gaff track as much as I do a big meeting, people rarely fully appreciate the financial impact a racecourse has on the local economy and there will have been hard times felt by local businesses since the closure in 2012, hopefully the re-opening, and the promise of 12 fixtures for 2017, will provide a big lift to everyone connected with the area.
I'm booked in for the meeting on 31 Oct, tomorrow I assume will be a sell out.
