Did anyone see Ma Du Fou's last race where he pulled up? He just never seemed comfortable and made two false steps over the same patch of ground that took him out of rhythm both times.

Am I betting with my heart or is he a live 16/1 e/w chance?

Don't recall the race LR but 20s about any Greatrex horse is of interest and of course prior to Aintree hehadn't put a foot wrong all season, I was at Hunt when he won a listed hurdle race there and the runner up there wasn't a million miles away from the winner in a G1 last time.

Wilde Blue Yonder is due a win.

( I was the Anthony backer on Tingle Creek Friday).

Had a fortune on him at Ascot 2 years ago when Choc managed to tip him up whilst on the bridle certain to win, if he's fit he could go close.

              I've only done Sandown today:

              2.20 Voix Du Reve win
              2.55 Menorah e/w and 3 places
              3.35 Dodging Bullets 3 places
              4.10 Sausalito Sunrise e/w (being the shrewdie I am I'm on at 16s, 20s and 21)
              Spring Heeled e/w (33s !)
              Theatre Guide e/w
              4.45 Vaniteux 3 places
              5.20 Thomas Crapper e/w
              Volnay du Thaix e/w
              5.55 Ma du Fou e/w
              Alcala e/w

              Good luck all

I think there is some value out there today but we will know better this evening.

Also on Spring Heeled, Vaniteux and Ma du Fou.

                  Might Dutch 3 in this
                  The Young Master
                  Hadrian's Approach
                  Henri Parry Morgan
probably do the full cover tri cast too, should be near a four figure payout to a quid, so what the hell, just hope HA gets further than he did in the Nash

Drop out Joe out to 40's looks big, has been staying on a couple of times over 3 miles, Scots Nash too far for him, well weighted, will risk a small ew, just in case

Any thoughts on Mullins pulling VVM out ?
Disgusting if you ask me, declare a horse then 9 mins before the race pull her out because your own personal target of winning a trainers championship goes awry ?
Complete disregard for punters, racegoers and the entire game. £1k fine ? I bet Ricci had that in loose change to cover it....

And even in the cold sober light of day I'm angry about this, Sporting Index has a spread bet on the difference between the pair and I sold at 29000, so with VVM not running and the race being won by Ptit Zig it was a swing of 57000, I won't tell you my stake but suffice to say it confirmed a fairly ugly day....

Sympathies Isty, the Mullins/ricci disregard for punters continues apace it seems, I had a decent day for once but I know where you're coming from

Thats an uncommented upon consequence Ista. A few books might have refunded AP stakes but that is horrible.

FWIW I had a grim day too. Been on a good run but got yesterday wrong.

                                Thanks Gents.
Sporting Index have given me a part refund as a gesture, they are decent guys so I'm not surprised but it doesn't take away the disregard Mullins/Ricci had for everyone other than themselves yesterday.

It's a tough meeting to call, G1s and staying handicap chases so soon after Chelt and Aintree will always be difficult to decipher, but the NH season deserves to end on a good and competitive note and not in a whimper, I like the meeting and it's a great day out but maybe next year keep stakes to a minimum and avoid volatile spread bets that involve selfish Americans and Irishmen !
