  • Sky Bet go NRNB on Festival four

With the Jumps season in full swing and the Christmas period set to unearth more Festival clues, Sky Bet have made the decision to go earlier than ever before with the popular concession - all bets struck from 0800(GMT) on December 11 will have the it applied.

Racing PR manager Michael Shinners said: "This is the earliest we have ever offered non-runner no-bet on any of the races at the Festival and it's sure to drum up interest with our customers.

What is NRNB?Non-runner, no bet simply means that you get your money back if your horse doesn't line-up in the race. So, if you back a horse for the Gold Cup but he instead runs in the Ryanair Chase, you will be refunded. It gives antepost backers security to go ahead and take what could be a value price.

very early for this to be happening,,but it could be of use to others

Bet 365 usually go up quite early with this too on championship races.
It's something they have to do otherwise the ante post markets would die, I only wish they did it on novice races in December too !!!

I would hope Bet365 will follow on the 4 shortly.

I like the example they use "if you back a horse in the gold cup and it runs in the ryanair instead" I wonder if there's a particular horse they have in mind
