I do wonder what the fractions will be, if fierceness goes off fast, he'll have to complete with track phantom who will want the lead no matter what and it could be a suicidal pace which would be like the last 2 derbies and set it up for a closer like Sierra Leone just like for Rich strike and Mage -

Special mention for Just a Touch who was well beaten by Sierra Leone. The K Derby might still come too soon for him but yesterday's brave effort in the Blue Grass was only his third race

98 Beyer for Sierra Leone, I've just done some research and I've gone as far back as 2015 but that 110 figure from Fierceness is the highest in a decade going into the derby, Justify being 2nd at 107. Beyer figures are a pure representation of speed over any distance but at a particular track… whereas, whilst Equibase is also predominantly a speed rating, it factors in performances across different tracks and includes variables such as race conditions, pace, class of race etc.Originally posted by HoldenTheReins View Post

The Zedan-CDI case over if muth can run verdict is today i believe, if they rule in favour of Zedan and I think they will, he's 25/1 on sky. I will post about the verdict as soon as I see it and if he is allowed to run, that will be a big big price.
