Most the horses I gave a shout to in the day 1 thread finished 2nd so I'm carrying on in the hope of going one better


Like you say looks very even more difficult. Can't pick between the top 3 in the PoW (which probably means something else wins) but you've got a nice price there.

A winning first day as managed to have Royal Champion but disappointing that so many multiples went down with Highfield Princess not winning.

Main betting race for me today is the Royal Hunt Cup and I'm happy with my bets on Ghaly, Astro King, Blue For You and Point Lynas.

I'm hoping the form of the York race works out for the last 3 selections as have gone for Croupier and Northern Express in the 18.10 tomorrow.

Aye, Bless Him is the ideal type for a hunt cup to travel like a dream and finish about 6th. He'll be one of my other each ways.

Had a decent look at the Queen Mary earlier. The two I was going to give a chance to were Out of the Stars and Onigiri... But the three American runners are difficult to weigh up and all seem to have speed (as usual), and be drawn high. And there's a few others who like to be on the pace that are drawn high as well. Which concerns me with my two being low. The French filly with Ryan Moore booked also has potential from a slightly higher draw, if there's any cut left in the ground. Tricast it is

I'd imagine it's because his 3 group 1 runs have seen him finish 12th, 20th and 4th

I'd say his rating is a tad generous and the others are currently more proven at the level

But he's regally bred being by frankel out of a dubawi mare and a half brother to 2 time group 1 winner nazeef

i backed him to win this race last year but he got thumped by bay bridge in his prep race and ended up in the hardwicke

I had evidence right in front of me yesterday about Triple Time before the race yesterday. I was sitting with 2023 and 2022 versions of Mark Howard's Ahead on the Flat.

2022's book had Kevin Ryan waxing lyrical about Triple Time but that he needed time to grow, etc and he had him down as his horse to follow.

Of course, I only read this after the 1st race
