They'll go to the Toorak...as long as they don't get too much weight then they'll keep an eye on the internationals.
The Golden Eagle is worth a lot of money and an easier race on paper but the Cox Plate has the prestige.

The monster Romantic Warrior runs next week Lobos.
Yes, I read a bit about him yesterday. They won't allow his normal feed in Australia and they had to switch to another feed which he wasn't eating up and they were very concerned . Since arriving in Australia they've now made up a substitute which is as close to his original feed as possible and he's now on that. Hopefully it agrees with him.

Food can be a bit of a worry, he had a gallop this morning.

      • Thanks for posting PM… cashed out Cox Plate bets for stake back and will re back if she goes for it but looking like the lure of the “easier” prize money will hold sway. Also no Giga Kick in the Eagle now which may have had a bearing.

A 10 Million dollar race can't be taken lightly

            • I’m liking that PM… think she’ll take the world of beating in the Eagle

On the Friday night it's Breeders' Cup and the Golden Eagle on the Saturday morning so I've doubled up Opera Singer with Amelia's Jewel @ 12/1 and Legarto @ 17/1

I was thinking along the same lines and have put Amelia’s Jewel in with Opera Singer & Tamara

like it, those trebles really boost the odds

Followed you with this one MS and a few other variations but have added Liberty Island for the 4 folds

Mullins namechecked the race a few times last year for him, and I got the feeling they were minding him this season and not being too hard on him with the future in mind. That could be next years champion hurdle, or it could be a flat campaign with Melbourne as the big target.
Just curious if anyone followed me in on this back when I posted it? It was a bit of a speculative one at the time but has shaped up pretty well so far, hopefully he can go and do the hardest part now.

That's right MS, the Shuka Sho. Unbackable for me at 1/5 but it adds a few more points in any multiples... should she win.

I wasn't sure how long those kind of prices were around as I didn't check back after backing him, I got 66 at the start of April but if 50s were around for a while after that then there was plenty of time to back him I guess.
