Yeah, good question MS. RW is a great horse with an amazing win rate/prize money and is probably a worthy favourite on paper but I do wonder how he'll do at the Valley on possibly good to soft or even soft ground.

So it's not so much that I don't like him it's just that I really like Amelia's Jewel. Her races at Ascot should help her and listening to Simon Miller he's trying his best to keep a lid on the hype but she keeps surpassing his expectations. They don't know her ideal distance yet and have no idea what her ceiling is and that's probably the main reason I'd take on the fav if they do decide to take the hard option.

edit : Here's her race from Saturday

I’ve taken the 10s and followed you in PM… she could easily become the next darling of Australian racing and we might not get chance to back her at such big odds again so worth the risk on target IMO, thanks for highlighting.

Australia and NZ have some very exciting mares worth backing atm with Amelia's Jewel, Imperatritz and Legarto.

          Back from the dead.
          Shame O’Brien took Auguste out.
He might be going in with the wrong supplement.

Back from the dead Don't blame them now they'll get the ground they want and can take their chance in a wide open race and don't have to travel half way around the world.

            • Isaacs Shelby at 4/1 for the Daniel Wildstein looks a cracking price, especially as he's been pulled out of the foret

              • Maljoom back tomorrow. Hard to know what to expect after 15 months or so off track. But I was expecting him to be one of the top milers around. See he opened at 4/1 and has been steadily backed as well so hopefully a good sign and we get to see a bit more of him .

                • Nicely done by amelias jewel there, broke track record without getting out of 2nd gear I've doubled her with some shorties for cheltenham as she's still 10s for the cox plate on sky

Happy to take him on with chindit

Newmarket doesn't tend to suit hold up horses and he has an enormous lay off

Plus that st James Palace was a funny race and hasn't worked out well

                      Yea, don't really blame you.

I won't be having a bet but glad to see him back and will be hoping he wins. Reckon he should've won that SJP easily to be honest.

                        It looked that way

But I'm always dubious about horses running on late when the other horses are already slowing down

Be interesting to see how he does

                        Could just blow them away

I was watching to see how she handled the track and she puts up a performance like that!

We'll still have to wait where her next two races will be as it looks like they're going to make an announcement on Sunday.

Don't know if anyone else on here was on the equally impressive Imperatritz, winning the Moir stakes, beating her own track record to win her fourth G1 this year.
All being well her next races should be the Manikato Stakes then a possible mouthwatering clash with IWIW in the Champions Sprint.

They're not giving much away are they, can't blame them.

They'll go to the Toorak...as long as they don't get too much weight then they'll keep an eye on the internationals.
The Golden Eagle is worth a lot of money and an easier race on paper but the Cox Plate has the prestige.

The monster Romantic Warrior runs next week Lobos.
