With the established milers being so poor races like the Sussex stakes and prix jaques le Marois look like they are there to be taken by chaldean, mawj and tahiyra
Have to admire horses like mawj who stick there head down and have that will to win
Good to have Murphy back as well, he is very strong in the finish and that may well have made the difference unfortunately for my pocket haha

Didn't sound like Laurel was heading to the Lockinge after Kempton. Although the Dhalia got a mention and she didn't run in that so may be a change of plan. But agree she's one to keep an eye out for this season.
Tahiyra didn't really look like she needed the mile and a half yesterday Full credit to Mawj and good call from SS. Think she benefitted from a fitness edge and Tahiyra will turn out to be the best of the three year olds long term though.

Really impressed with this lightly raced colt by Nyquist who's probably gone under the radar here.
Fingers crossed AMO Racing USA can get him over for Royal Ascot.
He has run and won on turf but here he is flying on the Tapeta at Woodbine

Added Highfield princess at 5/1 for the king stand to my royal ascot bets
Highly impressive in her 3 group 1 wins last season, especially in the Nunthorpe
Just a question of waiting to see what the aussies and americans send over as she was comfortbly the best in europe over 5f
Also found this quote on laurel
An outing in Group Two company appears to be next up for Laurel with Gosden senior earmarking either the Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket on May 7th or the Ridgewood Pearl Stakes at the Curragh as potential options ahead of an engagement at Royal Ascot. Gosden added: “Ryan has given me two options so I’ll be scratching my head but I’m clear with what I’m doing with the first one.
“The Duke Of Cambridge (at Royal Ascot) is an obvious target but talking to Ryan it is what we do between then and now.

Aye, that was the quote I meant. Dhalia already been though. So Ridgewood Pearl or they've ignored him and are going Lockinge. Not an antepost proposition for me there though. Gosden has Inspiral as well who's favourite for the Lockinge (and Duke of Cambridge to be fair).
Laurel 5/1 for the Duke of Cambridge, although not many have that market yet.
