Hi guys,

I landed a decent wedge last weekend and I'm looking to put an each way heinz together for Royal Ascot next week.

Now all I need are six horses..... ???

Anything leaping out at this stage? Very interested to hear.

Prices now seem tight all around but think Mohaadah represents some each way value in the Jersey @10s

I think you'd want to see some rain for Trueshan to even turn up let alone have a chance Lobos?

Kyrios would be a safer option I'd have thought, and may prove better than Trueshan whatever the going.

Alcohol Free in the Duke of Cambridge, and Sea Silk Road in the Ribblesdale are both accpetable prices.

And if you want a big price in there I'd nominate Summerghand in the Wokingham at 25/1.

He's going to run this year Spectre as long as it's safe ground. They desperately want the Ascot Gold Cup on their mantlepiece I think ! He was the Champion Stayer last season and no reason why he shouldn't be this. He's the one to beat.
I'd be very worried about Kyprios if I were a backer. Age, experience against him and he's only won a Grade 3 . Plus he's travelled across the water 3 times and each time it's ended badly including at Royal Ascot last season.

Looking at the weather forecast it must be unlikely trueshan will get the cut in the ground that he needs

If they don't go that quick you wouldn't be surprised if Stradivarius outsprinted them

I'm on Scope but I'd almost rather strad won

Scope has at least won a Grade 1 so I'd see him as the danger to Trueshan if there is one. Just think that Stradavarius is on the decline now and don't see him winning for a 4th time.

I do really like Scope

He's very unexposed, will relish the trip and I thought he ran a blinder on reappearance over 1m4f on good ground

Think there's every chance he could improve the 5lb needed to get to Trueshans level

In the prix Royal Oak he needed every yard of the 1m7 1/2f so 2m4f could be the making of him

Fair play to those of you who put as much effort into flat ante post as you do NH, personally I’ll buy the bible each morning and see what I can find.
A little disheartening that 13 races currently have the fav at 3/1 or shorter with several odds on, I hope that doesn’t mean a chunk of the racing is uncompetitive…

Quite like Scope for the GC as well.

Like the two Wesley Ward horses for the sprints as well. Campanelle at 7/1 certainly seems reasonable enough. Golden Pal not too exciting a price but I can see him blowing them away.

Yet to get stuck into too much yet but will have a proper look at the Tuesday later. First week of the flat I've looked forward to this season to be honest

King on Trueshan re missing Sandown prep...

"He'll go straight to Ascot, there's nothing else," King said. "It's still good, good to firm and it looks like it could dry out even more by the time we get there too.
"I'm happy with him, but I'm not prepared to take the risk on the run-up to Ascot. If that had been the ground at Ascot I probably might have run him"

I'd say other than baaeed, coroebus and maybe homeless songs they will all be worth taking on

The Aussie sprinters will push Wes Ward’s all the way, they are top class… Nature Strip v Golden Pal is one to savour with two of the best world jocks squaring up. I like the Coolmore double myself - Golden Pal & Home Affairs… both could do with a Royal Ascot G1 on their breeding CVs

Yeah some of those weight for age allowances look insane, 3yo fillies getting about 20lb in the right races…
