Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • The ground at goodwood is gd to firm gd in places at the moment and I can't see any significant rain in the forecast in West Sussex after today so can't see him running as it stands

Any rain that falls today will likely just mean they won't need to do any more watering to keep the ground as they want it unless it is a biblical storm that they are getting

    • Alan told Racing Post readers this morning that it would be premature for them to dismiss Trueshan when assessing next Tuesday’s Goodwood Cup.
It has been well documented that Alan won’t risk Trueshan on fast ground, but he has been encouraged by recent conversations with Goodwood clerk of the course Ed Arkell and revealed that if it was “genuinely good ground” (and looking at the forecast the first day is his best chance of getting that) then Trueshan would defend his crown from last year.

      Here's hoping!!!

      • Westover looks a good favourite to me
        7/4 is very fair
        the rest are shite

        • Actually had a bet today, on Bless Him. Ridden by forum favourite Jamie Spencer. Think with some firms offering 7 places he's a fairly solid each way option.

Essentially 1lb higher than when winning the Bunbury.

Almost certain he finishes an unlucky in running 8th now

I'm on Mishriff myself as think that Irish Derby Westover won was awful. Good luck!

              • Pyledriver! Absolute piss poor set of 3 year olds, no surprise to me that westover faded away when his closest challenger was piz badile in the Irish Derby who's a grade 3 horse

                • Westover sweated up pre race and was too keen early on

                  Obviously hasn't run his race

Was a dissapointing race with westover and mishriff throwing away their chances one by missing the break badly the other by boiling over

                    Yeah.
I'll give him benefit of doubt for now.
Hard race to assess going forward I reckon.

                      • How are people viewing The Derby market at the moment?

Aidan has a usual stack of Derby possible horses.

I quite like Proud And Regal for Donnacha however.

                        • Does anyone know anywhere where you can find the names of balloted out horses?

That'll be because he's been declared and its not ante post anymore so people will get money back if/when he doesn't run

The ground is gd/gd to firm in places as of this morning

Naval power, desert hero and tower of london have impressed me

But far too early to have any kind of strong opinion

Highbank was very impressive on debut the other day too looking more like a guineas horse

Tower Of London was impressive, just not as keen as his siblings are proper boats.

Naval Power on breeding should get the trip and already talks of him being best over a mile.
