Yep, nice draw. Cave Rock draws well in 3 in the juvenile

Jack Christopher not running at the BC, 5/4 Jackie's warrior looks good value in the sprint

Happy to take on TPQ with two here.

The Love Reigns-WW-Irad combo. Their BC sprint record can't be ignored.

    Speed Boat Beach

Broke the track record at Del Mar on dirt over 5 1/2F in his first race, then, after falling or doing a wheelie out of the gate on turf he still won easily enough in a smart time.
I think he can improve again second start on turf (please don't rain!!) with a BB signature flying start. He's flying at home at the moment.

Also using these two in various E/W multiples.

Edit: Speed Boat Beach is 8/1 atm.

Think Golden Pal blitzes Highfield Princess personally, his gate speed is a joke and he ran a track record in his prep run

    Her prep race win

    And golden pals prep win

He's so fast early it's ludicrous

She looked like the 5f was a tad sharp for her at ascot, leading getting headed then staying on again

in fact watching it back she seemed to hate the track, rolling all over the place getting unbalanced likely because of the big open expanse on the straight track

So 5 1/2f round a tight bend should be perfect, something she is much more used to

And ward will be wanting winners since its at his local track

She will have been trained with this in mind all season, much more of an after thought for the platinum queen

Who will be having her fast start further than 5f and be working much harder to get to the front

Wouldn't be surprised if she's 3/1-7/2 on the day

Maybe even shorter once the live prices are up as I can't imagine many Americans will be siding with the platinum queen

Aye, not against the Wesley Ward double with Golden Pal. Upset the two English sprinters somewhat.

Platinum Queen come an awful long way since Ascot though hasn't she!

Allegron out of the Melbourne cup after another shocking run yesterday then. Without a Fight my only dart at the cup now, and just a small each way play at that.

Won her prep race very easily and her trainer has won 3 of the 4 runnings of this race

The platinum Queen obviously sets a high standard but she is going to be in for a shock at the gates against these American horses. She will have to work a lot harder to get to the lead which will likely cost her at the end of the 5 1/2f.

Love reigns is probably a 6f horse and if she can sit handy enough will be finishing strongly.

A knocking bet at the prices imo.

Read some Stat's on the Melbourne Cup last night . Interesting to see if they bear any Fruit.
    .................................................. .................................................. ...............................................
    Stalls 4 and 12 - the Most Wins .
    4 y/o. / 5 y/o. do the Best.
    Stalls 6 15, 23, 24. No winners since1983.
Mares do well in the race.
    carry 8 stone 5lb or Less .
On the Back of that , you Lose a fair Few , I decided to chance Emissary @ 25-1. to go with the horses i have already Backed.
    Edit . Gone in Again with Emissary . into 20-1. , but that's it , the one i haven't backed , but fear is Montefilia . 31/10/22.

Quite like Without a Fight and Allegron myself.

Would like a NRNB on Allegron though as he's running on Saturday and only set to run in the Cup if he impresses there. Might just have to take my chance at 33s though, and concede it could be another antepost non runner! Rather than risk missing the price...
