Hopefully they are getting giddy like aidan did with little big bear naming the Nunthorpe
And after a few days thinking about it stick to the original plan of going to Ascot

Haggas told the Racing Post: "Everything is possible at the moment, even the Arc. I have to talk to Sheikha Hissa, but we're going to enjoy the moment and don't need to make any decisions yet.
"There are three options. It's either Champion Stakes only, the Irish Champion and then the Champion Stakes, or the Arc de Triomphe.
"If Sheikha Hissa wants him to have two races, the middle option would be the one. If Sheikha Hissa is happy to go the Champion only, then that would be the route. If she would like to go for the Arc, that would be the one and the rest would not be in the equation.
"It's just a case of how much I let him off. I would let him off a bit if we were going straight to the Champion Stakes, but if we were going elsewhere I don't need to let him off too much."

I expect marked improvement from Baaeed for the step up in trip. Infact, I think he's been crying out for it. Yes, he's unbeaten over 1m, but his breeding suggests he'll get plenty further, and I believe this step up in trip will be right up his street.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if he beats the lot tomorrow further than he's been beating horses over 1m, and then cue all the 'he's a monster', 'best we've seen' talk appear....again. I'd still have Frankel to beat him over 1m, easily.
As I said, I'd have Frankel beat Baaeed every time over 1m, but anything 1m2f+ I think it would be a different story. I believe Frankel's form, and the horses in behind, were a lot more solid than those Baaeed has beat.
I can totally understand why they would head to the Champion Stakes, rather than stretch him out further in the Arc, after just one run over 1m2f.

Enable has a better CV than Sea The Stars
2 arcs, 3 King George's etc etc
Frankel Is the best iv seen
Sea the Stars and baaeed probably the 2nd and 3rd
I think it's fair to say he was probably the best 3 year old ever.
Who knows what he might have done as a four year old ?
Frankel is IMO the best horse ever, although I'm not convinced he beat better horses (just beat similar horses easier). Horses like Farhh, Excellebration and Cirrus des aigles were probably not as good as their rating suggests and the first 2 probably earnt theirs in relation to vs Frankel and not so much without him.
Baaed being a son of sea the stars and looking better than ever over more than a mile today certainly helps Sea the Stars credentials.
His win today was as impressive as some of Frankels wins.

2000 Guineas, Derby, Eclipse, Juddmonte, Irish Champion Stakes, Arc…… in the same season??
I’d be fairly confident no horse will never do this in my lifetime again.
Put simply, it’s an extraordinary feat.

I literally meant imo, rather than on OR. Like I'd personally hold him in higher regard. Not sure you can dispute that tbh pal but as you were.

Won't be going to Arc according to William Haggas, it's the champion stakes at Ascot for his last race
EDIT - can't help but think it reflects badly on the whole stallion thing that Baeed would somehow lose value if trying 1m4f and got beaten, which is by no means a certainty. He's still the best currently at 1m and 1m2f so just don't send him any mares if you're looking to breed a long distance runner.
It's like a boxer padding out the record from this point onward and not taking up the big fight.

Though they definitely won't want him to lose now as winning over 10f will have bumped up that stallion fee a good bit
That unbeaten record is an excellent commercial selling point at stud
Shadwell will be hoping they have a new flagship stallion on their hands
