Little Big Bear was amazing and he's now a strong fancy for me for next year's 2000 Guineas. I was heavily on Bradsell yesterday but LBB was in a different league, even if Bradsell had been on form. I'm only on LBB at 6s but think the 5s is still good value. I don't think he'll run in the Nunthorpe with the National Stakes probably being his next race and after he wins that, his price will be 2/1 and he'll be odds on IF he makes it to the 2000G. I just think the 5s is big compared to all the current strong favourites for Cheltenham next year, which for me, will revolve around either Energumene or Shsihkin winning the Champion Chase and GDC or APT winning the Gold Cup. I'm now chipping away at all the different permutations with these 4 horses to include LBB before his next race.

Il eat my hat if LBB stays a mile strongly enough to win a guineas
hes incredibly fast, fairly sprinted away from them yesterday
Be much more interested in him for the commonwealth cup
Gary obrein tried to force aidan to say he was a guineas horse in the post race interview but unusually he wouldn't say it
He even mentioned the Nunthorpe as a possibility, a long side the morny, middle park and dewhurst
He has a bit of stamina on the dam side but on all the track evidence we've seen he's very much his father's son
He will likely get 7f but that extra furlong in what will be a strongly run mile in the guineas will have his petrol gauge hitting red imo
We've also seen plenty early season 2yos like him not train on well enough and get overtaken by the late bloomers come the following may like air force blue, pinatubo and native trail
I hope he's a superstar sprinter, weve not had a gun 6f horse for a whileLast edited by FinalFurlong91; 7 August 2022, 08:45 PM.

A very fast 2yo who went off fav for the guineas, didn't stay the trip, then hacked up in the July Cup
Also a son of no nay never out of a mare that stayed 1m4f
I made a promise to myself to stop backing fast early season 2yos for the 2000 & 1000 guineas iv been burnt enough times now. But knowing my luck LBB will be the freak that wins it and bolt up.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing Highbank run again for Charlie Appleby.

Naval power could go to the national stakes then I could see him being stepped up to a mile in the futurity.

The form lines and numbers point to LBB being miles ahead of anything we've seen at the moment and I'm just glad Aiden has now confirmed his targets. From the RP:
O'Brien said: “We’re looking at the National Stakes with him next month, that’s the race we’ve had in mind for a while, and it’ll be on to the Guineas then hopefully.”

It's still very early in the season for 2yos, none of the guineas trials have been run yet
And LBB has strong stamina doubts and will need to hit the line hard over 7f to put those to rest. Even then if it's a small field national stakes which turns into a sprint he still won't have proven he will handle the stamina test of an end to end gallop in the guineas.
A year ago today I'd imagine point Lonsdale was guineas favourite and Coroebus hadn't even run.
The national stakes, dewhurst and vertem futirity will be the best indicators of how the 2yos stack up.
