  • Longchamp - Arc Weekend 3rd & 4th October

The betting patterns today seems to suggest that there has been a decision made on Godolphin's 3 favourites for the Prix De La Foret.

Space Blues - betting is bobbing up and down today with moves close to around 3/1 (which was its overnight price) - I am thinking he may still run, but his price is bobbing about due to the moves on Earthlight and Pinatubo.

Earthlight - Big cuts across the board from 6/1 and 5/1 to 7/2 and 3/1 - suggesting he is an intended runner.

Pinatubo - Drifting today from 3/1 and 7/2 out to 6/1 biggest, and 9/2 and 5/1, suggesting maybe he isnt intended to run.
Hopefully still has the QEII as a possibility.

Looks like Earthlight, generally 5/2 & 9/4 is their pick for the race.

          Wouldn't put me off her.
Be better for the price on the day though.
Have backed Telecaster each way though. 36-1.

I have backed her but would be a huge negative for her chances for me.

Aidan keeps saying she doesn't want it it soft
She has ran 3 times with soft in the ground description and yet to win

Enable surely goes off Fav now.

While it might not be ideal, those 3 runs came as a 2yo, where she was 3 from 7. On RPRs her joint best run was at Newmarket....which was one with soft in the description.....

              She's gone from being a 3 from 7 2yo to looking a machine.

If it's heavy, extreme going then that's not ideal for a naturally low actioned horse.
I'll still be backing her though.

Soft though should be fine. It was fairly soft at York the last day, possibly more so than the official, according to the times and trainer comments.

Galileo & Pivotal, although mainly ran on good ground, have both produced very decent softer ground performers.
Really good horses naturally adapt to the going and there action adapts.
Just my thoughts though, each to their own.

Stradivarius was deemed to want good ground for a long time (trainer kept saying so), and will now be backed on the back of the ground coming up softer. Partly cos he's a proven stayer, but also because his best performance in recent times was on Softer going.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Love was a NR if the weather continues

                  Fingers crossed I’m wrong.

Quite a swing on the exchanges now, Enable clear fav. Love touching 3/1

She needs good ground imo. Her action definitely isn't suited to soft ground, she's a daisy cutter!

Do we know if Mogul is an intended runner? Read that he may have other international engagements but Ladbrokes have him at 40/1 which just seems far to big unless I’ve missed something.

I've traded out of my bet on Love for the time being at 4.5. might go back in at the weekend when I can see what ground conditions are.

The draw would worry me more.
especially if theres over 16 runners.
Couldn't trust Ryan to get a good position.

Like the look of Alpine Star in L’Opera... not much between her and Fancy Blue but she arguably took the bigger step forward LTO and is proven on the ground... any thoughts on the race?
