Van Gogh @ 27/1 EW (boost Betfair)
AOB Stable Tour: He’s done unbelievably well over the winter and we are very happy with him. He’s grown into a big powerful horse. We got loads of experience into him last year and his mind is very good. He’s working like a horse that has enough pace for a Guineas, but his profile would suggest he could stay a mile-and-a-half. He’ll definitely prefer better ground.
Seamie Heffernan post Curragh - He's a gorgeous, big horse. I'd say there could be an awful lot of improvement in him because of his size and he feels weak. He's been running well and coming out of his races fresh. There could be a lot of improvement in him with time.
I thought it was interesting that Santa Barbara has been smashed off the boards for the 1000G after AOB said she had done 'unbelievably well' over the winter - the only other horse AOB gushed about in a similar manner was Van Gogh, who remains a big price.
It's very encouraging to see AOB say he'll prefer better ground because he demolished a very good field on heavy ground to win his first Group 1 at Saint-Cloud LTO.
He's been to Newmarket and met loads of trouble in running coming from last to finish 2nd to One Ruler. It's good course experience.
